The Managerial Roundabout

Shrewsbury potting Cotterill is an odd one,

Spurs possibly seeking a new manager around Christmas, not sure how he will do.

Gerrard to Leeds is rumoured.

Uri Geller to Wigan?

I know he’s not a manager but Standard Liege fans seem gutted we’ve got Fergal Harkin to the extent that some are saying he saved them from relegation despite having no budget. Sounds positive.

  • Are you serious? The guy brought us some fucking brilliant moments  that we’ll never forget. Yeah, it didn’t end up great but ffs.

Rob Edwards surely going to get potted at Luton after today's latest defeat.

On 15pts, & relegation looming if he doesn't turn things round.

Ainsworth in at Shrewsbury.

He'll be walking the dog past our house again now.

Not even the traditional "... we would like to thank ..." there.

I guess he'll get (another) year's pay & another job in a few month's time.

Being sacked as a premier league manager must be a great gig. Well paid. Anyone can do it. Pretend your gutted to keep you in the loop. Rinse and repeat. I secretly bet he’s delighted.

When i was young i could name every manager at all the clubs in the top 2 divisions, I'd struggle to name 7-8 these days.

He's a bit angry that he only got 12 games, the squad were adapting & seeing some light.

He's fully angry that they told him in a phone call at home.

But, & I'll assume he's not the highest paid, but even the lower ones are on £2m pa, plus. Let's say that & another assumption that he'll get a years notice. He's been sacked twice recently ... so from a wage of £2m plus that twice for sackings, he's pulled close to £8m for 2 season's work.

Surprised he lives in a perfectly pleasant 6 bed 100 yards from me.

Probably can argue he wasn’t given time. Off to the next one. Good luck to him

Ruud van Nistelrooy is set to be appointed as Leicester City's new manager.

Celebrity managers....imagine all those social media likes and hits they'll get.

Another team that's changed its name temporarily, they won't be referred to as Leicester any more.

I presume that by celebrity, you mean a former high profile player.

I know he didn't have a long time at the crumbling theatre, but he did pretty well.

He has also had a short period of management previously- dunno if he was any good though.

Very much the curate's egg. Some success followed by big fall outs. A lot of politics & player fall-outs.

Ta.

In short then, he might keep them up, or he might not! 😁

Precisely.

Well, not precisely. Sort of uncertainly.
