I was impressed with you lot last night, 3 cracking goals. Who'd have had Rooney above Rob Edwards going into October? Certainly not me (although I was probably basing that mostly on him signing Ogbeta for that level). Presume Argyle fans are warming to Rooney now. Quote

Presume Argyle fans are warming to Rooney now. Playing a pretty expansive game which will see us picked off by some of the top quality sides, but is entertaining. Ogbeta not even in the match day squad now shows how our recruitment was a gamble, but seem to have landed couple of gems. Rooney is remarkably approachable for someone worth nigh on 200M doing karaoke on the Barbican. Quote
Zico Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Gary O'Neil can't have long left at Wolves now Quote

They lost a couple of good players in the summer, and at times yesterday, the body language and effort (especially when defending) was not good enough, and that's purely on a few minutes on MoTD. You know what would mean though... Quote

Looking at fixtures they've had a tough start with arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle, villa and Liverpool They always tend to get a goal Next they've got got city and Brighton Then a run of fixtures where they could get a decent points haul if their confidence isn't shot Or which a new manager could definitely look for a good start off Quote
deeane Koontz Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 Don't think West Ham's manager will be lasting long. Moyes back by November Quote

The more they do it, and it doesn't work, they more they seem to stick with it until the players reach the highest levels of football purity. Meanwhile, fans are left shaking their heads. Quote

Someone will re-pioneer 2 wingers and a little and large striker partnership that will take a league or a tournament by storm and suddenly it'll all switch again. Then someone will re-pioneer the Makelele role 😀 Quote

I was chatting to a Wednesday fan today and he was saying their game v Swansea last night was a perfect example of poundshop Pep ball. Both sides moving slowly around the pitch passing sideways and gaining nothing but 2 sets of bored fans. Quote

I'd like to see him replaced with someone stronger and perhaps Sheehan could play further up the field. Campo is my favourite player and I genuinely believe that he was uniquely suited to this role. Who from our current squad would be best equipped to fill the role? I think I'd try GJ in a hybrid 451/433, reinvent the Big Sam plan. Quote
