The Managerial Roundabout

Shrewsbury potting Cotterill is an odd one,

Spurs possibly seeking a new manager around Christmas, not sure how he will do.

Gerrard to Leeds is rumoured.

Uri Geller to Wigan?

I know he’s not a manager but Standard Liege fans seem gutted we’ve got Fergal Harkin to the extent that some are saying he saved them from relegation despite having no budget. Sounds positive.

  • Are you serious? The guy brought us some fucking brilliant moments  that we’ll never forget. Yeah, it didn’t end up great but ffs.

Millwall set to appoint Alex Neill.

We’ve missed out there.

Still hoping for Moyes but it won't be with Nolan as his #2

Fonseca out at Milan and replaced by Conceicao. First match in charge against his sons new team, Juventus.

I will be watching with great interest. Milans new manager must have been the inspiration for stress balls. Taut as a banjo string most of the time.

On the look of it, looks a decent appointment. Did well with Porto. Ex Inter man (I know it’s a lot more common over there)

Francisco starting to look the real deal now too.

Hold a space here for Wayne Rooney to appear. Shagging about again, in Plymouth this time

Colleen is not going to see the funny side of this, yet again.

Oh aye. Looking a proper threat every time he gets the ball.

Sad day for Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth who are back to boring Plymouth

Who you reckon is coming in?

Evatt

They’ve put stalwart Namcekevill as caretaker for 2rd time. Schumacher back a possibility

Losing what could be a few good appointments for us with him potentially going and Neil landing at Millwall.

WR

has he been sacked from every job now

Management is not for him

I'm sure he'll get a gig in Saudi

Is Schumachers success getting plymouth promoted

That it?

I'm not checking!

If it is, how much of that is on Lowe, even Coyle did OK following Howe at Burnley

And Neill didnt they sack him from under performing Sunderland after we twatted em

Didnt break any pots at nobend either, did he?

There might be better out there than Evatt but im not shedding tears over 'losing' them

They sacked Lee Johnson and replaced him with Neil, who got them up

I don't get the clamour for Schumacher

But Neil got Sunderland promoted after we beat them (they sacked Johnson)

And Norwich to the PL

And a jock pub league promotion

I'd have been happy enough for him to replace evatt

The appointment of Rooney at the time was ridiculous and it seemed everyone bar the chairman could see it.  I imagine he was on a much bigger salary than Schumacher ever was?  Rehiring Schumacher looks sensible but wasn't he, like Lowe, just killing time until he could get a job back up north?

Promotion from a division our man can’t. Massive points and inferior squad.

Neil. Wrong manager. He was the one after who promoted them.

Nobody does anything at Preston. His promotion with Norwich once or twice probably holds merit too.

There are plenty better than IE as you say though😂

He got 100pts and won the league one title with Plymouth. I'd clamour for that

When did you last have a non scouse manager?

I know what you mean, but for me every manager they've had in the last decade has done a great job (I may have missed one who under performed).  Year after year they have a low budget, low crowds yet are never ever in a relegation fight and are often a couple of wins away from the play offs.  And (unlike us it has to be said) they get results against bigger and better teams year after year.  Whoever they've had in the last 10 years, I'd take because they get a tune out of their limited resources and create a team greater than the sum of their parts.

Or, more correctly, Howe did ok at Burnley after following Coyle.

Neill took over at Sunderland after we spanked em. And got em promoted.

Enjoy the NYE ale.

Or even more correctly Howe did great at Burnley after following  Brian Laws who followed Coyle.
