The Managerial Roundabout

Shrewsbury potting Cotterill is an odd one,

Spurs possibly seeking a new manager around Christmas, not sure how he will do.

Gerrard to Leeds is rumoured.

Uri Geller to Wigan?

I know he’s not a manager but Standard Liege fans seem gutted we’ve got Fergal Harkin to the extent that some are saying he saved them from relegation despite having no budget. Sounds positive.

  • Are you serious? The guy brought us some fucking brilliant moments  that we’ll never forget. Yeah, it didn’t end up great but ffs.

It’s also a fair commute from Chesterfield! He’d be doing 1 day a week

He'd stay with a friend who lives in Wycombe.

Do Oxford have a stadium hotel?

Not built in, but about 50m away behind the goal. Hampton by Hilton. Don’t stock enough vodka.

He could sleep in his car on that carpark behind the goal.

A Club Update from Chairman Grant Ferguson | Oxford United Football ClubThat's their chairman though.

Absolutely rammed with asylum seekers most of the time these days (I live about 20 miles from Oxford an often work there, imagine how much fun that was in May).

Charlie Adam gone.

Evatt will be seeing where he can fit in.

Maybe Ormerod’s assistant?

Gary Rowett created a vacancy on the pundits merry go round by taking the Oxford job.

Charlie Adam will fit seemlessly back in (whilst maintaining the white males pundits allocation).

Certainly won't be a fitness coach.

I’m not sure what some of these owners expect. At least give managers a fair crack of the whip. I know we complain about Evatt but he’s at least been given every opportunity and backing so if he doesn’t succeed after that then there can’t be any arguments but Adam’s has only been there five bloody minutes.

Buckingham to Rowett is a bit of a shift in style.

I agree with your point but in Adam's case he has had 12 months - not saying that's enough, but its not like he only had 4 or 5 months like some.  They were relegated under him (not saying all his fault obviously) but I think they would have expected to be higher than 18th place in the division below at Christmas.
