The Managerial Roundabout

Shrewsbury potting Cotterill is an odd one,

Spurs possibly seeking a new manager around Christmas, not sure how he will do.

Gerrard to Leeds is rumoured.

Uri Geller to Wigan?

  • I couldn’t give a shit where he ends up

I know he’s not a manager but Standard Liege fans seem gutted we’ve got Fergal Harkin to the extent that some are saying he saved them from relegation despite having no budget. Sounds positive.

  • Are you serious? The guy brought us some fucking brilliant moments  that we’ll never forget. Yeah, it didn’t end up great but ffs.

Well Steve Cooper's doing f'call. He just wandered past our house walking his dog.

It's only an hour away from the Reebok.

A pity we don't have any vacancies for kit man or coach driver currently, but if anything comes up you can let him know (unless he's never worked in or around Blackpool).

He very much strikes me as a one hit wonder

Be amazed if he achieves anything of note again

Hopefully he finally manages to sneeze at some point too.

Never knew he’d made a record.

I mentioned on the other thread I wondered if the club had their eye on someone who would come and fit into our system when the time is right for all parties. I’ve heard his name from 3 different people (not BWFC linked but all of whom work in football). He did a solid job at Swansea and Leicester, and an outstanding job at Forest. I think he’d be a real coup.

But we have a manager at the moment. . .

We’d never get Cooper. I’m sure the Dr. Quoted his salary and I’d be amazed if we could cover a quarter of it.

You’re ‘probably’ right. I hope you’re wrong.

I’d take him if the option was available.

I'd love to have someone with the calibre of a Cooper, I'd even take a manager, managing some relegation fodder clubs in our league instead of Evatt. Monk and Ainsworth would do a better job imo. Evatt is extremely fortunate to still be in charge.

Tommy Cooper would do a better job.

Alice Cooper would get a tune out of them

Latest Stoke manager pottered.

I believe his current salary is zero. We’ll have a figure in mind for any (potential) new manager. It’s up to the applicant whether they want to take up any offer.

Depends how Leicester have paid him off. Could still be getting a salary.

Fair point. As long as we don’t chase salaries (and I’ve every confidence our current board wouldn’t).

Stoke mate texted me a bit ago. They don’t really like the Coates family any more. Worried that they’ll follow us on our journey

Had 4 permanent managers (soon to be 5) and 4 caretaker managers since 2020, the same length of time IE has been here.

That club is a managerial graveyard

Still above us as well 😂

It seems he was appointed by Jonathan Walters, who is apparently now the Sporting Director there

DB Cooper could be good but might go missing at training sessions.

Then again...
