He used to pretend to be a manc.

I heard that you refer to Manchester as "town" like people from Bury do.......

When at uni I was known as Bolton Jon

Never asked for it, was just the name I was given

Then went working in Norfolk and again got called Bolton Jon

Did a spell in London and got called the same

My accent goes away when I speak on a day to day basis but put me in Bolton and it comes out

I was Bolton John when I worked a few months in Haslingden.

I'm known in my local pub as Bolton Chris......which is a bit odd, as my name is Trevor

Knock me down with a feather, Trevor!

And some decent investigative journalism for once......

That's super odd. My mum was an older graduate of Bolton and they used to have their degrees certified by Lancaster.

I got booted out of Leeds and was dead happy to go to Manchester Poly - this new uni stuff didn't sit well with me.

I'm quite happy getting a degree from Manchester Poly.

I was educated at the Deane School of Academic Excellence - so I look down haughtily on everyone 😁

And the Smithills High School of basic survival was a great academic grounding.

Weird, and potentially very dodgy.

That said, a quick Google says RSM in Milton Keynes is a sizeable accountant.

There is also RSM Marketing: if the article means this, then it should be more accurate, as I doubt the accountancy company will be too happy.

Don't do Malcolm dirty like that!

Fuck me just realised I called Alfred E Newman, Malcolm! Going to have to dig all my issues out of wherever I've stashed them and do all the fold ins as punishment.
