Wanderlust Posted October 7, 2023 Share Posted October 7, 2023 Evatt's playing style can work and has worked at times with this squad but it seems like there's a collective mindset where they're all on it or all shit at once. Zero point in a passing team that can't pass or control the ball well - and slams the handbrake on when we eventually do get into the final third but with these players there doesn't seem to be an alternative approach. There's little point in lobbing it into the box with our strikers in this league so maybe Maghoma and CMG can offer something different? If they can't we're stuck with trying to make it work and that means improving our passing and movement, playing it through the lines a lot quicker and getting shots off at every opportunity. They need to get training against a proper defence, shoot and get ready to pick up deflections, today's attacking was awful.. Can't win games if you can't get it in the net. It looks like evatt has told them they can't shoot from dead on, and it HAS to be a cross in from the wing backs, every attack went wide.. even Charles in the centre and heads to the sides.. 3rd goal didn't bother me, we went all or nothing and it went wrong.. Some of those players today, at any other club they'd be playing in the reserves after those performances. I've been a DN fan but genuinely can't believe we released kachunga for him!! No issues with defence, the balls constantly coming back as we can't hold it up, Midfield was centrally fine, GT had a mare.
