December 30, 20232 yr Does anyone know if you can still get into the ground a while after kick off.? Because of work I’m only going to be able to get to this at 3:30pm just don’t know if it would be a wasted trip.

That's what I did a few years back anyway. I was escorted through another entrance and round the pitch to my block.

December 30, 20232 yr Would like / expect to see Forrester in for Jones but on left and Toal switching to right. Forrester looks ok either right or left where Toal definitely looks more comfortable for me on right than left, had a great spell on right of back three last season

No problem getting in , if struggling go to the main entrance.

December 31, 20232 yr I've always been under the impression the turnstiles remain open until half-time

Most operators stay and watch the match, and see most of the 1st half not just the 2nd half.

December 31, 20232 yr I reckon we'll scrape a 1-0 with Vic bagging against his old club but I'm hoping we do a number on these tomorrow, like Morecambe in recent seasons they know how to get under our skin, rattle us & get us off our game. Them being usually organized, stubborn I think it'll be a game for Paris to get on the ball & make things happen.
December 31, 20232 yr Fuck Burton. Boring yellow long ball cunts. Hope we score early and put 5 past them.
December 31, 20232 yr I have a vague recollection of turning up at burden when the second half started and the big gates would be open so you could just walk in and watch.

I also actually think we’ll miss Jones’ forward play more than we think.

December 31, 20232 yr We need some atmosphere in the ground tomos it’s been lacking lately ,the way the team has battled back to the top they deserve it , everyone should join in and not just rely on others .if only we could have those Lincoln away fans behind the goal plus another 2 k at home ,think that’s what we’re missing ,maybe give us the south stand and the away in the west lower . Club should ask the fans if they want it .
December 31, 20232 yr That doesn't make a lot of sense. Besides buggering season ticket holders about, there are logistical changes that would be required in terms of managing away fans and the away car park.

That would seem bizarre, for anyone that's struggling for cash watching the 2nd half for free seems very tempting! I do remember the gates being opened with maybe 10 minutes plus to go in the 80s and 90s, sometimes if I was in a rush to get away I'd exit the Burnden Paddock around 80 minutes and jog up behind the Lever End and watch the rest in there. I remember getting in the Lever End just in time to see Jim McDonagh's kick v Carlisle sail into the net, I'd have missed it if I'd delayed 30 seconds. (40 years later our keeper virtually did the opposite, handing Carlisle their 3rd goal around the same stage of the game!)

Oh yes, it was Burnley, not sure why I thought Carlisle although we did play them a fortnight earlier (just checked fixtures). Burnley was our 5th home win in a row, including Blackburn too, and we still managed to get relegated.
