Or maybe when he sets someone up, they've missed the chance? Can pick stats to suit. Quote

Site Supporter Popular Post desperado Posted February 18 Site Supporter Popular Post Posted February 18 First and foremost thanks for all the likes and personal messages re my pissed up grieving post Friday eve. You’re all a cracking bunch 💙 Re the game and post match debate; - Baxter, if not THE best keeper in this division, is certainly one of them. And in their respective positions so is Santos, same with Charles. - I don’t care if you are Moss Bank u11s, BWFC or Real Madrid, if 3 of the best players in the league as keeper, centre back and forward aren’t in your team you are not going to be at your best. - The collective omission, rather than lack of individual talent in the replacements, is very influential. - To not be losing games, still being in touch, still playing positive attacking football and scoring goats are positives to cling onto in this sticky spell. - As key players come back into the fold we are only going to get better. - As for questioning the managers future, well that’s bonkers, hope to God our rivals for promotion and local haters don’t read that. Makes us come across as entitled/unintelligent wankers, who’ve lost touch as to our journey over the last 3/4 years. I can only think those same folk will be clammering for him to go if we were just above relegation in championship claiming he’s taken us as far as we can go - don’t think he’ll ever truly win some folk over. - This is Bolton Wanderers, I know our derby record is poor, but in promotion winning seasons we have a habit of creating those special moments. Don’t rule these out over the last 15 games. - You have to hope and have belief that those moments are a very real possibility, imagine if we win at Blackpool and Wigan? - The whites are going to give us something memorable this season, let’s embrace and enjoy It. One of those 'I know someone at the club so ITK' types who's usually not far wrong. I bloody hope he is with this one. We win that today with Baxter in between the sticks...... Out for around 3 weeks according to the latest from the club. Stick with me for more top quality rumour and analysis! 😂 Quote

Walkden White Posted February 18 Posted February 18 2 hours ago, Eddie said: Having watched the goals back, I actually don’t think there’s much blame on Coleman for any of them. 1 - it’s a good ball in but Toal gets caught underneath it. Coleman will expect him to just head that clear and he can’t come for it, once it’s over Toal and the forward goes for it then there’s nothing Coleman can do. Toal’s fault. 2 - it comes through 4 Bolton players and Iredale puts a foot out right in front of Coleman. I’m not 100% but I’m pretty sure Iredale gets something on it which puts it past Coleman. It’s also one that would get ruled out for offside with VAR because the forward that Iredale is marking is in an offside position and is in front of Coleman when the shot comes in. Unlucky - shouldn’t let them get a free shot on goal 18 yards out. 3 - foul on Cogley, players stop, Toal then makes a mess of his positioning when the ball is bouncing and it’s a good finish off the post. Toal / ref’s fault. If Santos was back in the team then I don’t think 1 or 3 go in. I really fucking hope he’s back for Blackpool/Wigan! Positives are that Vic and Bod got on the scoresheet with 2 nicely worked goals and good runs from them both. Bod getting 2 in 2 is a great sign because we know he’s got the quality to go on a scoring streak, he just needed the monkey off his back of getting his first. Think that's a fair summary Eddie. I don't think anyone's mentioned that that back 3 could easily have conceded 3 or 4 midweek and conceded 3 yesterday. Should it have been changed for yesterday? I for one hope we change for Tuesday and I'd play Taylor in the middle. What's others preferred option from those available? Quote

Toal for me was below average. I thought iredale won all his battles and is really good at stepping in front of attackers without giving away a foul. Also having a left footer on the left side gives more balance. Edited February 18 by Arrested development Quote
