What an absolute disaster this has been.

First to hold my hands up when I’m wrong. Completely misread today and seems the players did too. 

I’ve a lot of thoughts on it but I’ll probably post tomorrow when things are less raw.

What I will say. SS has learnt a lot about his squad today and last Tuesday. 

Wherever we are next season, I think these two games might act as watershed moments for a lot of players.

Oh you weren't wrong about anything. 

You'd think we were favourites today.

But we seem to have a history of giving struggling teams a leg up.

For those slagging off SS, you are barking up the wrong tree. We can only even get in to the foothills of judging the guy after he has had a transfer window. He has been dealt a talented but very one-dimensional squad. I think he is cut from a very different cloth to Evatt and we will start seeing that from the soon in to next season. 

None of that is consolation to the 3000 who turned out today and watched a lame performance from the current squad. There are one or two on run-down period in there. They know they are going.

Have a listen back to Gary Neville's comments after the MCR derby. Players these days are over coached robots, 'he's this but he's not that'. That squad was recruited to do specific things in a specific way, with any question about whether they had the mental and physical bollocks being disregarded. 

No new manager is going to come in and I) be able to cajole those bollocks into them if they aren't there and ii) be able to get them all to play a way and do different things that are alien to them

Evatt was right in a way that bringing someone else wouldn't make any difference, it won't, this squad are a hugely expensive, piss weak shambles and SS's biggest problem for next season will be being stuck with two thirds of them because of previous bad decisions.

Spot on about Jalo and Humphreys. They ripped us apart in that first 35 mins. Why can other teams get these stronger players and we can't?

Tbh Barnsley looked better than us all over the park and I'd have a lot of their players over ours, no idea how they're so low in the table.

As a performance it couldn't have been any worse. Hammered by a mid table team who hadn't won in 7 matches. Morley, TuTu and possibly Murphy could be out for the season. Another loss and confidence at rock bottom. Santos and Jones playing with no passion and both lacking fitness and can't wait to jump ship in the summer.  Lolos, Dempsey and Forino the only ones who had any fight and passion to stand up to a team of overly physical shit houses that get away with these tactics week after week with the poor refs in this league.

If wouldn't know where SS should start preparing for the next match. I guess it's to see if he's a full eleven fit players available.

I agree to a certain extent mate, but, transfer window? where the fuck is our money coming from to sign better players? Just lost 11 million, think the million pound signings will be a thing of the past!
