Probably nothing but coincidence, but did it go to ratshit around the time they announced the appointment of the director of football? Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted April 12, 2025 Posted April 12, 2025 He may have a point, but we're still above them in the table. Just like the Wigan mon did, hopefully this will be sufficient a spur for when we play them next. Quote
Popular Post Ani Posted April 12, 2025 Popular Post Posted April 12, 2025 SS getting away very lightly today. I wanted him as manager and I still do but he put that team out today and it was not at the races. The triple substitution felt like panic but how changing 2 full backs for 2 lesser full backs was going to change the game is beyond me. I get he is hamstrung by the IE transfer dealings but today was a massive step to nowhere. Quote

They might take him to be a back up option, but he is one of the fundamental reasons that we continue to underperform. He’s a great character, no doubt about it, but he is outplayed by so many midfields (including the team in 12th today). Morley has proved he can play centre mid for the team at the top of the league, Sheehan is playing centre mid on the international stage, GT turned down a move and became the L1 Gerrard in people’s eyes. If we start with him in centre mid next season then we aren’t getting promoted. Quote
Rizlar Posted April 12, 2025 Posted April 12, 2025 Just back speechless Santos and Sheehan can fuck off had enough of them both ! Quote

noxid Posted April 12, 2025 Posted April 12, 2025 (edited) The last summer transfer window was an absolute shambles. Last season, we basically finished fourth, had a big transfer budget and have been well overtaken this year by two teams coming up from League 2, so the problem has been the board believing in Evatt s big plan which has imploded significantly. Dr. Feelgood Posted April 12, 2025 Posted April 12, 2025 Having to return Santos, having then to move others around to fit "our best defender" in. He's now a disruption. I understand he's signed a contract to play abroad next season. Bye. Quote

I hope you are right but remember SS first interview and he said as soon as the job came up he told is agent he wanted the job that was before he spoke to the board . Funds being available could be we have the 3rd highest wage bill wheel and deal with that Edited April 12, 2025 by Farnywhite Quote

Markham was in charge of recruitment. Markham was Sporting Director. He scouted the players, negotiated the deals and signed the contracts. L/H White Posted April 12, 2025 Posted April 12, 2025 this set of players have to many battle scars clear out needed another 3 years + in this league yet Quote

This would have included assurances about transfer budget. Quote

Pretty sure if evatt had not bought any of them he would have said to save is reputation we had him blaming the players earlier this season and the fans at one point . Marc iles said on a podcast that he thought markham was getting undue stick for the transfers when he left the club Quote
