The whole thing has looked off in every game now, the squad selection pre tournament was off, Southgate's interviews have been off, the players' body language looks off, the motivation looks off.

Holy hell. It's like watching Bolton during a bad run. Turning up thinking today is the day we tank the opposition....and then after 10 mins you know the drill..... 

England are out unless the referees head falls off completely. Or, they rip up the book and just go all out. 45 mins of dross and we're toast.

Getting some players on that are willing to run at the opposition with the ball would be a start. It's like a lost art in this system.

Besides the excuse the useless commentators are already using (holes in the pitch etc.) I reckon there's an even bigger issue. Kane is having to wear a navy blue captains armband. Their hopes were somewhere over the rainbow as soon as this injustice was forced upon them.
