Mourhinio is the perfect example of this. When he is 'up' his teams are unstoppable , when he loses it the same teams are pathetic.  Hence does 2-3 seasons in most jobs.

When City mix it up and go long, it's long enough to stretch and turn their centre back, drag him into the channels and it's to a focal point striker who's able to bully that centre back into a slip up, as Haaland did with one of their goals on Sat. We knock it long to a lad who's half a foot smaller than the big lump at the side of him.

The lack of confidence in the team means everything just gets slower, every players takes an extra touch or a split second delay before playing a pass. Thinking about everything rather than just stuff done. Second half Barrow is probably the best sustained period we have had this season. The ball did not have to be rolled out to Santos every time so played on the front foot. 
 

Not being scared of making a mistake is the best place a team can be in but we are in totally the opposite position, every mistake is being punished and as soon as a goal goes in we fold. The third goal on Saturday was an extreme example of where we are at. Players looking like Sunday morning players weighed down by the pressure rather than the traditional 8 pints the night before. 
 

Reading must know how we play and the pressure we are under, pretty easy to come up with a game plan for them

My view is 433 is the best formation generally but Cogley cannot be a right back, he's so weak physically. I'd put Forino out there and just be very defensive.

And Schon doesn't look attacking at all, but has pace, so maybe he's just knackered doing the wingback role and that might work.

Whatever though, the style of football needs to change as well as the formation. Play a 433 with the walking football we've been doing this season and the result will be the same.

Whatever though, the style of football needs to change as well as the formation. Play a 433 with the walking football we've been doing this season and the result will be the same.

When we played Tutu, and Mathesson, Schon started to run at players and seemed to have more confidence, it seems that he wants to sit back and is easily influenced by the style of play.

I think we'll edge through a 2-1 win tomorrow. We're not relegation fodder so a home win against Reading still seems realistic as it's a game that should suit us more - they're not a big physical team and it won't have the big game atmosphere.

Not sure what we'll learn from the game that we don't know though, so I think Evatt will still be gone at the next international break. Just hope he picks up enough points to allow the next manager to turn it round and possibly get the play offs.

Surely we’re all in whatever our views on Evatt. He just needs to accept it’s not working and mend it. Only he can do it so let’s hope this week has really sparked something and he and the players come out and show it? COYWM 🥳

Some didn't take to Evatt pretty much from the start, don't really have an issue with that to be honest, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I like him and am hoping, but doubting, he can turn it around. He was our cunt, now most just think he's a cunt, I'd like him to be our cunt again. He wants to be the first to take a team from League 2 to the Premier League? Really hope he does that with us but he is very low on good will and I'd suspect low on remaining chances.
