Bolton V Aston Villa U21 (H)

Coming thick and fast.

Not sure whether I’m turning out for this yet.

More intrigued about the side we can get out which rests players who are playing Saturday. Although with an international week following will Evatt not be as concerned?

                      Southwell

          #AP  Santos/Toal  Inwood

Matheson    Matete  Arfield    Williams

                           Lolos

                 Mcatee     Collins

That would rest a fair few. Presumably Vic/Charles start Saturday so top 2 can rotate. Matate and Arfield with Lolos in front could function as a midfield 3. Can Matheson play like he was part of League Cup squad? Williams natural swap for Schon. I’m hoping we can get a couple of young academy lads (*AP) either side of Toal/Santos who could share a half.

  • I honestly struggle to think of a worse individual performance from a Bolton player. His miss should have been the lowest point of his night, but his crossing from open play and corners was abysm

  • And we nearly spazzed that game up too. Plus let's not forget Burton away. He was more stubborn than Evatt could have ever dreamed of being.  Let's not re-write history.

Life just changes things. I’ve been going since 1963 with my old man and brother, always had a season ticket and never missed a home game wherever I was living, Scotland, London, Liverpool, Lincoln an

Positive display, worked the keeper well. Played around our back five nicely, only conceded one goal. We'll take our medicine for now & refuse to rest on our laurels in the future.

That shows exactly why you shouldn’t fuck around with a pen. Pick your spot and wallop it

Exactly. Young lads showing our smartarses how to do it.

That was absolutely painful from start to finish. Should have realised when Randell missed that sitter early on it was going to be a long night. I don’t remember a more disjointed and embarrassing performance and so many players having a mare. The penalties just summed it up absolute utter shite.

Out of this comp is the aim… partly job done.

Nobody comes out of that with any credit.

Thankfully it was in a game that didn't matter. Maybe that was part of the reason, but it shouldn't be the case.

Dempsey did well when he came on.

And don’t forget Vic, who now needs to be number one striker after that cameo

We just lost to a youth team.

And yet we've secured a point which will probably see us through anyway.

Only way out is if Fleetwood beat us at home

Or potentially if they beat us on pens

We're almost through though, we got a point for losing on pens

What a life!

Only saw the second half. Like watching paint dry.

Feels like death by a thousand cuts at the moment.

lost to Exeter, smashed by Huddersfield, needed pens v Mansfield, drew to Shrewsbury, and now probably our most embarrassing result for some time, Fleetwood will fancy themselves.

We had 23 shots and 10 on target.

Hardly a 0-0 borefest

If we finish like tonight that's possible.

You're missing some results.

So let me get this straight. It’s a comp that everybody wants out of. In order for that then we have to be shite. We were shite and then all of a sudden it’s embarrassing. Make your mind up people

Bi-Polar Ways at its best 🤣

That tonight doesn't even make the 100 of all-time embarrassing games.

Maybe 200.

Bunch of fucking hysterical lunatics.

Not shite enough. If you want to get knocked out of this competition you really need to commit to being crap.

I thought same.

And me.

Can you be a happy clapper and still would rather like Evatt to go?

Asking for me.

or win at Wembley and not have to play in this comp

I honestly wouldn't care if we get knocked out. We won't though. We will beat Fleetwood.

I thought the only real negative was how poor Randall Williams was. He's lost his place to Schon, had a chance to put himself back in Evatts thoughts and was just shit all round. Can't cross ,can't pass, built like a 16 year old, beaten by a 16 year old for their goal. Just looked lethargic and not arsed.

Hopefully no injuries & that’s really my only concern .

What a shitpot of a competition.

Anyone stressing over this needs help.
