Take Hunt Off Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Hopefully no injuries & that’s really my only concern . What a shitpot of a competition. Anyone stressing over this needs help. Quote

And one way or the other, let's hope we've something equally magical to come. Quote

Excellent, you know me Mr Positive, great that we can find something to celebrate. 😂 Do we know when the Fleetwood tickets go on sale? It will be a fastest finger job no doubt. Its proper jeopardy now, like a round 4 knock-out cup tie. Imagine if the penalty shoot out decides it. 🤣 Quote
Lt. Aldo Raine Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 I think it'd be a bit hypocritical for me to criticise the lack of effort given I couldn't find it within myself to press the red button on my remote control Quote

victor meldrew Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Lots of armchair warriors on tonight. best part of the evening was when. 10 year old lad informed me yellow cards are cancelled at full time so the keeper couldn’t be sent off. one to tell Steejay . Quote

Probably fairer to do it through some game of random chance. (be easier to draw his wife, to be fair) Quote

royal white Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 A lot of the blame is being focused on Evatt but what about the players? They need to take some of the blame, not beating first man on crosses, shit shooting, awful defending, there’s only so much a manger can do. I blame Mrs Santos Quote
DaveTheRave Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 We should've been 2-0 up after two minutes and probably 6-0 up before they scored. Combination of poor finishing by us and their keeper playing well. First half was entertaining enough tbh. Second half not as good despite us scoring and you could feel the frustration building up. Man Of the match their keeper. Quote

Duck Egg Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Couple of positives. I had a signal in the ground for the first time ever and the Bovril was lovely. Quote

Fuck it. Got a point. Should have been done by full time. Not really sure who came out of that game with much credit other than Dempsey. Collins is a strange one for me. Thought he was shite tonight but equally can be a game changer when he’s on it. Also thought GT was poor. Game was there for the both of them to really impress but neither really took it. Can’t say I’ve taken anything out of that game to make me think about our next lineup in the league Quote
Lostock Whites Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 This won't define our season or anywhere close, but what does concern me is our form since January. We haven't and are not showing anything close to promotion form, we have had a poor start to a promotion must season. This next month is really going to define Evatts whole legacy with us I believe. After Burton we have some real tests, if we continue to perform poorly against our promotion rivals like we have done for the past 3/4 years then I can't see anything else changing. Quote
Lostock Whites Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Also on a separate note, Randell Williams is one of the most abysmal professional players I've seen. Lightweight, cant cross, can't beat a man, can't shoot, can't pass and is scared to put a foot in. Schon is miles ahead of him Quote
Zog1 Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Disappointing not to have beaten a team where the average player is yet to complete his GCSE's. Williams letting them get that cross in and Santos losing his "man" just unbelievably soft for their goal, that isn't good enough. Santos looks distracted probably shouldn't have been started, maybe needs a rest. On the positives Hutchinson looked competent and Matheson looked good on the right, some quite smart plays and passes, better than Cogley? maybe, it's hard to say given the opposition. Quote
Eddie Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 I haven’t seen anything of tonight’s game (thankfully) but in reference to a few comments on Collins. I’d have him down as our best player when he’s on form but he looks seriously pub league when he’s not on form, and he’s not on form at the moment. I thought the goal at Arsenal, which was very well taken, would start his season but he’s shite against Shrewsbury too. Annoying because you now know what he can deliver, I just find it amazing how there’s hardly any in between, he’s either the best or worst player on the pitch. Quote

Schon is miles ahead of him I honestly struggle to think of a worse individual performance from a Bolton player. His miss should have been the lowest point of his night, but his crossing from open play and corners was abysmal . He got beat by a paper boy for their goal. Not sure anyone came out with any credit but he was stand out shite tonight. I normally think he is but tonight was at best 1 out of 10. Quote
