Heโ€™s shown he is capable of turning things around for me. Delighted heโ€™s proving me wrong. All about winning some of the big games against the likes of Stockport, Blackpool & Wigan. If we can

Upcoming games against Stockport, Rotherham and Blackpool will really show what this side is about. We always think about ourselves as but the rest of this league is really poor. Bar Birming

Really good performance for what could have been a potential tricky match.

Took the goals really well, dealt with the majority of what Stevenage threw at us with little fuss too.

Ref was dogshit.

Santos motm again, but mentions for the other CBs and the 2 midfielders

Maybe its not all about formations, after all

Booooo Evatt out

That's some bet!

Terrible ref, clueless what a foul is. Tackle of the night from Santos, gets a yellow. 4 good goals, on to the next one.

Lincoln scored a late winner so pipped us to 5th.

Thought Matete was immense tonight.

Great result. Some very good performances. Santos looking back to his best again but I'd give Matete man of the match.

Come On You Whites!!!

Matete and Sheehan linked well tonight and Santos immenseย

2 very good wins on the bounce that, given the players we are missing.

Hope we can rest a few at the weekend and get some back for the next few league games.

Thought Forrester did well when he came on. ย Just as well as will need him over the next few weeks.

southwood - decent one mistakeย

JDC - solid very little down that sife

Scone - good going fwad likes a trick at the back when not needed

Forester - Solid

Rico - Excellent again from the Goal Machine

GJ - Solid

Sheehan - great when in the game

Matete - great when in the game

McAtee - Works hard and is improving

Collins- not his best but worked hard

Big Vic - delighted he scored but despite his effort still think he is weak link

Dion - Great as a sub, be interesting when league starts again if he is more than a sub.

* The above seems harsh given the result, performance was really solid.ย

We were a level above them when we played, when they broke game up we became scrappy, but it is a top result.

Was not sure if for first 80 minutes ref could give us a free kick, lots of niggly fouls he just ignored.ย

Looked like 3rd cup match at times.ย

The class and quality we have at our disposal is frightening.ย

Using it is obviously the issue, tonight we did.

All down to scoring when on top and not wilting like a flower the first we it comes on top.

Onwards and upwards. Just hope Toal is OK.ย

And we still have folk wanting to stick charles in

Ive always been a dion fan, but leave him where he is, ffs

Daft thing is theyre usually 'bingo machiners'

Should say, its not perfect but we need to play collins in to form, which so long as we are winning, we can

Looked like a hammy but recovery can take anything from 1 or 2 weeks for a mild tear to months ย for a serious one

he's looked different class last 2 coming on as sub.

Obviously not viable long term, but working for now (and gets a run out at Walsall presumably).

Fantastic that tonight.

Compare that to last years horrific game, then you can conclude we are learning and getting better.

I was very critical after Birmingham. I hope others who were, like me, can acknowledge how good a response that is, coming back with 2 wins.

Evatt could have been on to another hiding choosing not to play Charles tonight. Both him and @Casinoย called it right ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

What are those train times to Walsall ๐Ÿ˜Š

We were abject at Birmingham - didn't even try to put our stamp on the game.

Response has been top notch in the last two.

I reckon we win the next 2 in the league as well, but I've probably put the kiss of death on it.

Excellent result for the flat track bullies. Now let's go and put a marker down at Stockport.

Fantastic

only negative being toal

not bothered who they play saturday

all about smashing Stockport nowย

Don't think it will remain the tactic going forward.ย

Neither do I.ย  All those goals/games won relatively early last season:ย  Away at Cheltenham, Reading, P Vale, Charlton, Fleetwood, Posh, Barnsley.ย  Home v Derby, Stevenage, Northampton, Orient.ย  Compared to just 2 goals after the 50th minute (Exeter H, Burton A).

This season hat-trick v Reading and goal at Orient 1st half, and yes 2 welcome late goals but in games that were already won effectively.

No problem with mixing things up between 4 strikers to rotate/rest etc, but Charles is a big player especially away from home, he should start most games - just not as a lone striker!
