Think I covered this in my responses to Tomski.

But to clarify and reiterate, I never said it was black and white and everything is sweetness and light, but that it wasn’t unreasonable to claim that Sheehan is happy at the club playing under Evatt.

Of course there’s lots of alternative solutions like he’s greedy or just looking out for security.

But IMO I think this is not only good news for BWFC and Sheehan, but there’s also credit to Evatt for whatever role he’s played in nurturing and securing Sheehan in the short/medium/long term.

I'm not sure anyone said he definitely was unhappy.

It was a comment from guess who that he signing somehow meant things couldn't be problematic. Shades of grey.

Iirc, Sheehan had the second highest number of yellows last season.

I don't think that was because he was getting stuck into every player in the other team.

Hence why using him in a 2 in midfield is a very risky tactic.

As before, we want more goals from him at home, but if he does his bit, and others score, then all is well.

Bigger issues are behind the strikers.

Performances at home not good enough all round.

Agreed its the home form that's let us down mostly this season but from mid Oct 23 to end Aug we only lost one at home, and that was when Santos was sent off in the 1st half, and we scored plenty.  It was the away record that stopped us going up, only 3 wins 2nd half of season.

On Charles doing his bit, that's not what I've seen, he gets in the way of build up play quite a bit by losing possession, as Vic does.  Collins and McAtee aren't perfect but I'd back them to create more opportunities and get shots away in home games because they have better control and vision, as I say I'd want Charles on the pitch if he was scoring but if he isn't, there are others who will do more, IMO.  I'd pick him at Cambridge because there's every chance he'll score, its his type of game.

In my experience

Unlikely

Think it's been 3 times in our time in L1

Peterborough, MK Dons, Oxford

A bit strange given his terrible scoring record, but Santos got 3 of the 15 goals. Loads more goals from defenders, unusual for us - Mbete, Jones, Toal, Williams, Ogbeta, Cogley.  Even Tomo and Sheehan scored, but Charles and Collins the only forwards to score.  Obviously all Charles 3 goals were away 😀

Or it could be that he's happy working for Evatt and thinks there's more to come from this squad, as he said in his interview. I'm sure he knows a bit more about the situation than you or I do. Your brain is bent if you don't think he could have got a better deal somewhere else within the next 6 months. A League 1 player, playing out of his skin on the International stage?

Certainly noteworthy that it's been nailed down a day or two after he showed he could operate with / against better players, will have caught a few eyes so good for the club to maximise the scope to get decent money for him if someone makes an enquiry in Jan or next Summer

We scored 5 in one game and all 5 were scored by defenders.

5-0 v MK Dons
Goals from Jones, Santos, Toal, Mbete & Williams

I fancy us today, I think we’ll see a reaction and being at home to a team that we usually beat at home and is in shocking form should mean that we do.

But, if we do lose it, he’s got to be gone hasn’t he?

It'd almost be worth it

Cold, wet, dark, slippy, some with have gloves on, already feel less confident

Conditions will be a leveler so they really need to battle, particularly early on.

Conditions level ability but character comes through, that’s the concern…

Yep. Proper challenge today in the type of game we usually crumble in.

Hoping our team realises this and is up for it from minute 1. Blackpool will be
