woolli Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Very surprised Sheehan as signed a new contract? Though he may have wanted out at the end of the season. Quote

Away scored 1st 13 times and won 9, drew 2 and lost 2 (Reading & Blackpool). Conceded 1st 7 times at home and we only lost 2 which is decent. Drew 4 and did win 1, helped by the Derby keeper getting sent off. Conceded 1st 8 times away and only won 1 (Cambridge), drew 3 and lost 4. This season's stats more straight forward - scored 1st 7 times and won them all, conceded 1st 6 times and lost 5 of them (drew v Shrew). Thanks Johnny great work. Quote
kent_white Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 I had a dream last night that we lose 5-1 on Saturday. And my dreams are ALWAYS 100% accurate! We were playing Derby though. Quote
masi 51 Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Charles has 6 in 13 games in the league 2 in 3 for Northern Ireland and 1 in the league cup . Despite him missing the start of the season and a good portion of those 13 league games from the bench. Forwards are selfish and greedy at any level and need to be consistent. Said this on here weeks ago that Evatt should stick with two and it would be up to them to keep the shirts. He has tried to play Mcatee as a midfielder/forward to justify a 7 figure signing. He needs to start Charles every game with either Collins or McAtee with him and the other on the bench. Sorry but Vic offers nothing Quote

W.cramp Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 So looks like thomasson back. Midfield 3 of him, matete, sheehan? Seems the lost likely set up, does that then leave a collins or macatee situation alongside charles ? Collins so frustrating this season, same can be said with macatee on a lesser scale but in a game like this would go macatee. We,ll see. Probably be vic and his bandage to reek havoc !!! Quote

Think Dion will be on the bench if that is the case, subtle hint by Evatt and he will say he has had two hard international games while the others have rested. If he goes Collins and McAtee fair enough but i dont want to see Vic start Quote

It may be IE's fault for not playing to his strengths because he looks like a different player in some away games, but he does have a point. He can look devastating playing on the break eg at Northampton, Stevenage, Crawley but in most home games when he starts he's too easily dispossessed and doesn't get a sniff. His best game for ages here was coming on last 20 minutes v Posh. Kinell, not only do his penalties not count, but his away goals are seemingly less relevant than his lack of home goals (from open play of course). We'd all like him to score more, but it doesn't necessarily matter, if his presence means defenders concentrate on him and others score. Yes he misses chances, but we're in division three, and at the moment very inconsistent, with bigger issues at the back. Someone above said he's a one in three striker- well I'll take that. Perhaps other strikers could look to match him, and bag 20 a season. Quote

If a manager who isn’t under so much pressure says that, they pretty much pass by without any debate. As @barrycowdrill said let’s see what reaction it gets. What he said is true - so you can’t criticise that part. But because of our situation there’s a debate as to the timing, the reason he’s not scoring for us and whether he should have even said it in the first place. Not sure it is true. Plenty of criticism of our passing, defending, and lack of a midfield at times. Not sure what he, or others up top can do with regards to those. He may be playing the man-management game, but that seems risky, and at the moment frankly seems an excuse. He should just shut the fuck up publicly. Quote

He's not getting anything better any time soon. Quote

It just confirms what was discussed earlier this week, that it is pointless Sharon ( or IE ) making any statements when there are people just waiting to be tewwibly, tewwibly upset. IE has to do a certain amount of press work or I doubt he'd bother with it either. Quote
boogs Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Anybody know what time fanzone opens tomorrow please? I've got a mate coming to the match who doesn't come very often and he's keen to get there early for a pint first. I'm not on any of the socials, so don't know where else they'd say. Quote
