He is allowed to change his mind. He knows it’s not working with the players available and I’d be surprised if he went with 2 centre mids when all players are fit.

It was a suicidal decision. We’ve been left with Matete, Thomason, Sheehan and Dempsey. Dempsey and Matete both struggle with injuries.

He’s designed his team around this 523 formation that he’d never played before. Complete and utter lunacy. We’re going to have to limp through to January and hope we’re still somewhere in the playoff mix.

I'm gonna take that tonight and forget all about our annual drubbing a week on Saturday.

Might pull a sickie for that my ticker won't take it

Just put a fiver on Wigan 4.0. I'm tempted, but you'll probably only get even money.

Said it earlier Collins was worse than Vic; but that miss second half from Vic was just shocking

Collins wasn't at his best but he's had 15 goal + seasons twice in this league. He's got credit in the bank. Vic can't hold the ball up , can't beat a man. Doesn't win headers. That defender had him in his pocket the whole game. Vic even lost the physical battle. He's shite.

Scored though :)

It’s his fucking fault that it’s a problem in the first place. Don’t forget that this was his preferred system for this season, and the squad was built around that.

Which we established os bollocks as mcatee was brought in at the end of the close season.

So any pre season training won't have been with that set up.

Woeful first half this 2 in midfield needs to stop teams are playing straight through us he must see this.
Subs brought some urgency and the sending off helped I would like to see Dion and Macatee start as the 2 up front and Desmond must start for Cogley!

The squad is easy good enough to get out of this league and only the blinkered mind-set of Evat will prevent that.. We are way higher in the league than our performances merit [So was Derby last Season]. Last three home games we could have got 2 points instead we have nine.

Last half hour must get Evatt thinking tonight his one way of playing is not working.

The pace we had last 30mins we have not seen all season. This square pegs in round holes is not only baffling but smacks of desperation.

Baxter playing the ball out to Sheehan needs to stop....IT IS NOT WORKING

Players returning from injury have me believing min top 6 if not promotion, because we are the Derby of last season

I’d have feared for the lad if he’d been thrown to the lions in that first half tbf.

I like most hate that two, but playing Sharples from the start is not the Answer....Thought he was tidy again when he came on...Got that Sheehan style of play

It was but it was with Lolos instead of McAtee

It’s made much much worse by the fact we turned down a fee for him. Complete madness, he’s terrible and a lower league 1 striker at best.

Collins and Mcatee were also terrible but when so many players are out of form the manager and system have to be at fault.

Victor as been shit from day one  half a million pound we paid for him he scored a hat trick when Conner Bradley put 3 on a plate for him since then he as been gash . Remember Cambridge white sticking up for him for 😂

Getting something out of this match will be devastating for this club.

It extends the pain and buys him another month.

🤣

I’m so happy you’ll be devastated with a Bolton win.

Vic getting pelters for a solid target man performance (OK, that miss was laughable), while the yet again anonymous Collins is yet again forgiven.

I liked the inverted WBs. I liked Tutu's performance even more. As someone said above, that was a win from nowhere that Derby would have managed last year, and we'd have looked on enviously. I liked that the most about tonight.

2 CMs doesn't work, we all know that, and I'm sure with hindsight, Morley wouldn't have been shipped off as we're desperately light with a formation that doesn't work. Sonny should be eased into the side, as he was - not just thrown in to make up a formation.

I'll happy clap away. In the end, I enjoyed tonight. And we're still well in contention.

Behave. Solid target man performance. He can't control the fucking ball. What a load of shite. That defender won 90 percent of the duels easily. Missed two sitters. He's a tap in merchant. Watch every goal he's ever scored for Bolton . Every one bar one is in the 6 yard box.

Collins is twice the player Vic is. People have short memories. Some of the goals he scored last season for us were unbelievable. He scored the winner last week against Blackpool FFS. Collins, Mcatee and Charles might go in and out of form but they skill and technique and can finish.

Well, I was out tonight & at 1-0 down & 65m gone I checked in.

I had my gun loaded.

I got home looking for the result and 3-1. Amazed. Pleased, obviously. Surprised for sure. It took 75m, 4 subs at once and a sending off but a results a result.

Question is, do I put my gun away ?

Maybe a good job I've a 40 mile trip home and a few mins to catch up on what everyone's been saying, if I'd fired out what I thought walking back to the car I'd probably have become the least popular person on here 🙄

I know I said the other day this season's only been a minor irritant compared to some but I can't remember coming away from a win as majorly irritated as I did tonight.

Papering over of cracks as big as that sinkhole in Merthyr Tydfil. But, as has been pointed out, 'its about the three points and nothing else' 🙄

First half was awful apart from a 5 minute spell where we really had them on the back foot and had a few chances.

Second half was just as awful until the sending off. Tutu made a big difference and deserves to start the next game.

Just back. Sending off saved us, without a doubt

Up until then I was convinced he was trying to get himself sacked.

I need to type this up as in my head it sounds like the ramblings of a nutter.

Start a game with your left wing back playing on the right and your right wing the playing on the left. Basically make them ineffective especially Schon who has been doing really well lately.

Then hook them because they were struggling and replace them with, er.... let me just think this through as I'm sure thus can't be right,  a fucking right wing back on the left and a fucking left wing back on the right.

Bloke is off his tits.

We won. That's why it sounds like the ramblings of a nutter.

Because of the sending off, not because a tactical masterclass.

The bloke is off his tits. He's needs putting to pasture.

Seems we watched different games, fair enough. Vic's only job all night was to battle their centre half for long balls, and he brought down far more than he didn't.

The failing was his complete isolation. Nobody ever within a centre circle's area near him - where were our super awesome amazing wide forwards to support? Completely anonymous (McAtee improved, granted), but their names scan nicely with a couple of songs, so it's reyt.

Collins did fuck all for 90 minutes v Blackpool - his goal was as pure a crack-paperer as you'll see.

Adeboyejo isn't perfect, far from it. Should we have sold up? Probably. But I'm tired of him being the scapegoat when there are many more players in that squad who need to look at themselves.
