Ah ok. Cheers. Whole thing seems like a farce. Making Sharon’s backing seem even more bizarre.

Same here cannot get my head around it I am struggling to see any positives anymore the players coaches and manager have no idea how to stop the rot.

He could have changed the system to suit and stuck both Arfield and Sharples in there. Even shove McAtee or CMG or Forrester.

Pack the midfield rather than leaving it wide open then putting a full back in there.

Agree mate. I didn’t agree with the way he set up. Was just trying to offer some balance. Whichever way he did it, his options weren’t great. Not defending him as that’s on him.

Still scratching my head how it’s gone so drastically wrong since Feb time (can’t help but keep coming back to Sam Hird)

The problem is even a win on Sunday changes nothing really and gives Evatt more time he doesn’t really deserve.

That's the demotivating bit for me.  I'll be there willing us on to 3 points but in the cold light of day I know a win delays the necessary change.  Although I also know another couple of defeats will make the league table look embarrassing and we could all do without that.

Did anyone witness the small demonstration,  that apparently was outside the hotel?

I suspect had it been anything meaningful we’d all have heard about it.

Probably didn't have their bedsheet with them, it won't make the news without a bedsheet

I was talking to two people with some connection to the club yesterday. There's a few things they said that I can't really go into but they did mention it was around that time that Evatt stopped attending every training session and started mentioning he was thinking about his future with the club. Could this be why things started going wrong?

Wish he’d think about his future more and fuck off to be honest.

We may have heard similar things. And whilst IE remains in post, it’s not the time to go into them.

When I question his moral compass, I remind myself that this fella used to be our manager, and IE doesn’t seem so bad

No doubt some things have gone backwards since Hird left, Evatt isn't (in my eyes) a good coach (though acknowledge he has got his badges) and I'm not convinced that what he now has around him amounts to a good body of coaches either.

As has been said earlier in the thread, it's the manager (or head coach)'s responsibility to bring out the best in the players in his squad, with good coaching and mentoring, and by deploying them in a system that works for them.

More have gone backwards or at best flat lined in their time with us than have shown any significant development, and some have shown what they really have in their locker when they've moved on and been deployed in ways that suit them better.

I'm not expecting every time we sign someone that Evatt comes out in the press and tells Iles specifically why he's signed this player or that, or what he's going to give us, but I'm yet to be convinced about why five or six of our current lot were brought in, especially in the forward positions

I’d expect the manager to be at every training session.

Why wouldn’t he be?

Unlikely i know, but if we beat Lincoln, we could move into the play off places. Will everybody still want Evatt out.

So you make a comment about how a player is going to play the full game after 10mins ffs

Nope , not even close to what I said you absolute weapon.

Tutu and Schon on the wings and Williams and Cogley at full backs.

GT and Arfield/Sharples/CMG/Lolos/Forrester in center mid.

McAtee and Collins or Charles up front.

So fucking simple.

It'll never catch on, we're doing this instead...

Spot on mate. Crainey is a cronie and I think there’s less challenge to Evatt than before.

The McAtee signing in particular baffled me.

I think some players have flatlined as you say. Everything was geared to promotion last season, and the last 5% has gone from quite a few of them (Jones, Santos, Sheehan, JDC, Charles, etc). We don’t have the strongest squad in the league, but that group of players should be hovering around the top 3 or 4.

Lack of system / identity and some players not quite motivated enough to want it.

Ipswich and Pompey got promoted recently the season after making mid season managerial changes. Not a chance we’ll go up this season.

So would I. It's common knowledge he hasn't been doing that this season. It started last season though and coincides with things starting to go wrong.

The reasons behind it are the things I can't go into. Apparently it's not a secret around the club.

I'll have to leave it at that though.

So he isn’t doing his job properly.

And the powers that be are ok with this?

Really is time to get shut.

Reason behind it, suggests it’s not his decision to not be there…

Falling out? Driving ban? Put on a register? Religious reasons? Can any of you ITK wankers give us a clue?

Just to confirm, I know absolutely nothing. I’m merely reading between the lines and if there are “reasons” why he is no longer at training every day, it suggests it’s a decision out of his control. “Not being able to go into it” suggests it’s not that he just likes to work from home on a Monday and there’s something a bit more touchy.

I bet he serves up the same meals every day.
