The best interview from a manager ever, and probably the most un-manager like interview ever! Can see why he coaches the u18s, and is doing so well at it. Pure joy; back to the days of ding

  • Fucking brilliant! Plenty of shithousery, no fucking about at the back, defenders knocking Charles about like a ragdoll. Superb gritty team performance. Absolutely made up, especially for Julian Darby

  • Good man Julian Darby. Late on his career with us he had some rough times with the fans but even then he scored a couple of really crucial goals when Bruce got us promoted. This is a properly deserved

It’s amazing how one game can energise a club and its support. Love it!!

Sorry to hijack but mad turnaround from abject capitulation on Weds for us.

Has he done an Evatt?

He wouldn't pay to watch the football we played today

Just had a horrible thought earlier of how smug Evatt's post-match interview would be if he'd managed a result like today. He'd definitely mention receipts.

Ace today and well chuffed for JD.

Backwards and sideways not any more 🎵🎶

They looked a completely different team today. Aggressive and no nonsense. Perhaps this team doesn’t have a soft underbelly after all?

Even the likes of Jones, Cogley and Victor looked at least comfortable at this level of football again. Was nice to see

Will Forrester is a defender. He loves defending.

Leave defenders to defend and funnily enough they look like different players (incl. Johnston).

Will Forrester will prove himself to be a very decent centre back. I’m sure of it

Clapped the Bolton fans at the end of the game when he walked round that’s all I know

Pretty much said we parked the bus and came for a point.

That ball from Johnston to Vic for his chance first half

I hope the next manager encourages play like that

Wonder how many people on here remember fans holding up Darbys number as they wanted him subbed and the grief he got for years off our own fans ?

Bolton born full backs, they all get it

Darby

Phillips

Hunt

(He wasn't strictly a full back but he definitely played there for a while)

Really?

Didn't feel like that at all

We had more shots on target than them as well

This is a properly deserved little bonus for him fairly late on in his footballing career. One of our own and I bet he feels nine feet tall this evening. Chuffed for him.

I was chuffed for him when Neal took him to the PL with Coventry

Remember seeing him bag a couple on motd

Felt surreal

Another manager talking out of his arse to cover up a shit performance by his team

A smash and grab apparently

Just separately told the missus and nipper the story of Darby, ball boy to player to manager. They both looked totally non plussed. Eejits

Going off comments and commentary, it seemed like an equaliser would have been a smash and grab.

Unless he's been sucking off IE and thinks that possession equals points.

Cunt's on drugs.

One of my earliest memories of Burden Park is him getting a bit of grief and my grandad getting all emotional about it. Strange how things stick with you

I recall the team being read out in the ground and a collective groan of despair when his name was read out.

No boost, no shouts, but a long, low "duuurrr".

Toal, Johnston and Forrester should make a great back 3 at our level under a good manager and they’re still young too!

The bloke interviewing Duff made me laugh as well, saying that it’s a credit to Huddersfield that teams see beating them as a scalp because of our celebrations… deluded tossers.

In fairness it was. Darby was pleased as punch, and spoke highly of the run they were on.

Moreover, the more folk blow smoke up Duff's arse the better. Sometimes wonder if Evatt consumed too much of his own hype.
