Bad news when I’m watching the team 23rd in our league, who have lost the last 5 games scoring 2 goals and I’m wishing we had their number 18 up top for us.

Turns out he’s 27, kicked around the lower leagues all his career, never done anything of note, has been kept out of the Cambridge team by fucking Dan and tore us a new one - why? He was fucking physical!

Everything we haven’t got and enabled them to get out easily. Santos struggled with him (he also out-paced him which was a worry) and we generally made him look like prime Kevin Davies.

Yet another sad indictment of where we are at the moment.

No you weren't, you drama queen. It's a fucking stupid idea, and everyone told you it was a stupid idea.

I see we're persisting with all 11 back on free kicks and corners and yet leaving 2 or 3 unmarked on the edge of our box.

Which, tbf, is hard to do. Just in terms of space.

Or…

take him out of the back line and play him as a DM destroyer in front of the CBs a la Muamba where his mistakes are less impactful.

In no sense is Santos a DM

That was just another totally predictable shit show. Cambridge are shit, but bossed the first half.

Collins walks round like a peacock, all that quality but zero impact. McAtee can not remember a signing that has disappointed more. Randel 2 games now and have seen nothing. Tomo tries his heart out but playing in a midfield 2 can not keep up. Morley the best of a very bad bunch.

Onto the defence - I have some sympathy as they have the ball and there is no movement…but…the 2 GJs were and have been for weeks  terrible.  Santos looked weak and slow.. injured ? Schon not that bad, kept trying. JDC just gets worse - and I have defended him in the past.

But the whole team is devoid of any confidence and the manager is forcing a system on them that exposes every error.

The biggest problem is the manager. He has signed Randell when we already have players to what he is being asked to do. Lolos was another brighter point today but showed how poor Randel was.

I honestly do not think I can be arsed anymore driving over for night games. I am out of the house for best part of 6 hours for games, just feels a waste of time.

Ditto - thought the same driving back over the Pennines on the M62 after the game.  Demoralising. Can’t see me being motivated on Tuesday……unless something changes

We have also started leaving players unmarked in the box

So am I.

Me too. That 1 occasion that he had the ball, then tripped over it, is classic Vic. Probably the very worst centre forward in our history.

Ianevattable, the board are taking the piss now!

You're just sore that i was dead on about this clown before you. Cheese and Casino part of the i-EDL Evatt Defence League to the end.

Always have to go one better.

But annoyingly that's bloody good.

That has to be the saddest comment I've seen in a long time.

I'm doing Tuesday but not prepared to do two on trot, would sooner stand on a freezing track in Barrow for 90 minutes watching young athletes run their legs off.

Big concern for me at minute is what Board do about transfer window, if they stay with Evatt and agree to who he's put forward it's the wrong sort of situation to put a young loanee into. I can see parent clubs getting cold feet. Change manager this week and there's still a week to give that person a couple of faces he might prefer.

If we change manager we probably won't need those faces.

You're 100% right, i explained the issues the best i could but the happy clappers wouldnt listen. My posts are public go have a look.

I didnt want Evatt to fail but it's been clear for literally years that he's over his head.

Pretty sure he could put himself about and tackle and he’s already mastered the short pass to someone who can actually play a bit.
But as neither of us have seen him attempting that role there is no value in definitive statements either way.

That said, folk laughed when winger Thierry Henry was tried out as a striker. Didn’t laugh for long though.

Jesus wept. Grow up.

He's going nowhere, reckons he's getting another player in before Tuesday!

Name worse. I loved Ron Phillips BTW

A birdie tells me there might have been a breach of Rule E3(1) of the FA Rules and Regulations regarding Evatt's conduct with the fans.

We looked better in possession without Santos. He really does slow things down fannying around with it. Thought second half it looked better but not solid.

2/3 players today just utter passengers. Forgot Thomasson was playing at one point.

Desmond lively.

Admittedly he’s only played 2 games and I’m very quick to judge, but I’ve seen nothing to suggest that Randall is going to improve to this team.

He's at his best when he's the last line of defence and can be reactive, often using his strength and pace to get him and us out of trouble

Defensive midfielders need to anticipate the pass and be proactive because the play is happening around them

He'd be completely bypassed

And also, the further forward on the pitch, the quicker the play, and his technique isn't good enough to play the kind of quick, intricate passes he'd need to
