Really hope it works out for him.

  • We don't need a sentimental appointment here to put a fire out. Like said above, we are fully loaded and ready to go. It's actually a dream job for someone. Sqaud full of talent ✅️ Dece

If there is difficulty in negotiations it's probably about future transfer spends and wage budget. At this level the wages are fairly standard.

I've got to ask ... who's this Craig North chap ?

Craig Short played at Derby and was on the bench coaching for Oxford at that play off

Steven Gerrard is free

the plot thickens 😀

It does sound like its stalled over salary, O’Neil was favourite on Friday and I’d imagine he would have been asking for more money than shoemaker. If the rumours are true then it sounds like we could be moving down the list of candidates. Still expect it to be sorted.

I’d manage this club for minimum wage the greedy bastards.

Nobody knows anything yet the knives are out :D

Greedy bastards holding the club to ransom.

Probably all sorted, just looking for the key for the war chest.😁

shit fan

Steve Thompson and Neil Redfearn? All we need is Warren Joyce on the team and its BWFC 1983/4 re-born!!

I actually think there's a good manager in Thommo. When he was a player he took a while to build up physically and really it wasn't until his mid-20s that he matured in to the quality midfielder he's remembered as being here and at Leicester. Similar with his management career he's picked up a load of experience at different clubs and given his background and knowledge I reckon he's capable of being in the no 1 role. At Bolton and now though? It'd be a gamble and he's in a field with some quality/proven names.

Still - while we all have Julian in mind its good to remember his midfield partner too. Thommo played an awful lot of games for us.

(Redfearn was a tremendous midfielder too but much shorter career with us and came back to haunt us more than once)

Having a manager is overrated we’re doing all right without one . Just pick the team using the tombola

Problem with the big shots is they want to bring 4 mates as well to support them. The Evatt coaching staff were useless (maybe exclude Gilks). but we got stuck with them and I suspect had to pay decent money to see them off.

I'd be testing these managers and how good they really are

Can't all be one way these contracts they get

Give them a basic wage

Then a percentage of the fees they negotiate for the sales of Big Dan and Victor

Sort the men from the mice

This site really is an intellectual bunch.

Ffs give it a rest,  none of us know nowt about what's going on.

No, we don't.

Hence folk will post, just like they do at work, or in the pub.

Genuinely interested to know your rationale for this thought process! What made them useless and, more interestingly, why are you separating Gilks from it?

I do

It's getting darker at nights little bit later

If it is stalling on wages it’s not out of the realms of possibility that Schumacher see’s his stock a little bit higher than Evatt.

‘he earned X and has had 2 go’s at promotion and failed whereas I went up in one of those failed campaigns and managed 2 clubs in the champ so expect to be paid Y’

fairly reasonable and realistic pitch i would’ve thought…

it’s then up to the club to decide whether that is within the budget and is a reasonable bet to lay in order to get their return on investment

Triffic, he probably doesn't log on that often, as I bet he has to take his laptop down the cop shop every other day for a hard drive check...

Craig North Chap

says he wants £600'000 a year

that's what's holding it up

and IE was on £500'000 a year

im now having we are paying that kind of

WADGE

relatively speaking, if IE was on 500k then we shoudl be expecting to pay more for a manager with a L1 promotion and Championship side on his CV

(and if that's the case, Wagner and O'Neill would want even more money, so can't see them getting it)

suspected that the delay might be on personal terms, but I reckon SS would want the job and FV want him in, so negotiate away, but also hurry up

Offer him a bonus for getting us up then.

Not sure he can justify himself on his championship experience.

Didn't hang around at one, and didn't last 2 minutes at the other.

Stoke not his fault of course, but he did choose to jump ship to a bit of a basket case (owners).

He would have more security here for sure.

Any way, it's all supposition.

O'Neill has consistently been up there, and I think he'd get a fair crack of the whip if he came.

Jez's brother.
