Really decent bloke, sad time.

Sad news, a great referee and a great man. RIP Uriah.

Top fella , RIP

Reading the comments on Facebook it seems that everyone rated him, not just us. Top referee

Sad loss.

Refereed us 23 times.  14 wins 6 draws and 3 defeats.

Good man. RIP.

That’s a shame

Whenever he reffed us you’d never have to worry about the ref being dogshit

In the top 3 of my favourite referees of all time along with Pierluigi Collina and the chubby little curly haired lad who used to struggle with his balance in England in the the 70's whose name escapes me for the moment.

RIP Uriah. Top bloke.

Roger Kirkpatrick - who applauded Frankies goal ???

Up there with Kevin Lynch

(Not heaven, Lynch isn't dead)

Always rated Rennie,he refused to be bullied by the 'Big 6' Premier League managers.

Sad to think that he was super fit not too long ago.

Rip Uriah

I remember the fingers crossed waiting for referee appointments. Have we got Uriah? As others have said, the only referee who didn’t seem to have a(n unconscious) bias towards the big teams. This was probably because he would not only refuse to be bullied by players and/or managers trying to intimidate him, but he’d also deal with it quickly, firmly and effectively.

Without doubt, the best referee I’ve witnessed in my lifetime. Rest in peace, Uriah.

Chatted to him at Hallam FC when Colls played there in a cup game, he was a regular visitor there, top man and referee

Rip big man

The only time we lost when he reffed us was when we didn't turn up. Best ref that man.

Firm but fair every time. If you did have a favourite official it would be Uriah Rennie.

Bloody hell. RIP Uriah. Top ref!

Brought a different level of fitness to lower leagues refereeing. Went on yo be one of the best.

One of the few refs who didn't pander to the big names.

Just echoing all the comments above, top ref and bloke, very sad to hear of his passing.

Always a bonus when he reffed us , you knew he would be fair & unaffected by the big club bias .Unlike many of his colleagues.

RIP Uriah.

He was great to us. Fantastic win record, lots of pens IIRC and reds given to opposing sides.

Not giving a blatant pen late against Thome at Molineux in 2004, only for Davies to go down the other end and score the winner at the death to send them down.

Hundreds of whites singing ‘one Uriah Rennie’ as we left the away end with tempers flaring. Good times.
