Plymouth Argyle (H)

Already a big game this.

Reckon on a bigger pitch with more space we will carve these open with our new found pace.

Maybe having Steejay as a neighbour is why we keep losing

I expect SS will pick the same team & it's harsh to make changes or drop anyone after just one game, but i'd be tempted to start with Randall who was miles better than McAtee when he came on at Stockport .

My Mums had two knee replacements and is 85, shed play better than McAtee! I just get what he brings to the team.

If he’s fit I’d play Warren in front of both of them.

Providing no last minute injuries, it'll be same team.

I really don't get why folk get so invested in what the team will be.

It'll be 11 decent players, in their natural positions generally, with back up on the bench.

How they perform on the day is in the lap of the gods (and opposition and the bleedin ref) but win or lose it won't be down to picking the "wrong" team, there isn't a fit player in the squad that I wouldn't be happy to see in the team.  We don't have an Etete, or Dan or even a Williams or Arfield.

BWFC v Plymouth on Saturday, who cares who plays.

The problem is we've had the last 3 years of Evatt shoe horning anyone possible into a back 5. We've now got a squad that has 2 natural options for most positions, as normal clubs would have, so it's a novelty for us to speculate.

Give it a few weeks and it'll calm down to the players who are in form

Do him in. He’s a skid

Yes, there's 2 players per position on the whole (except striker currently), and they are all good players.  Unless SS picked Forino on the right wing and McAtee at left back, I honestly don't care who gets the nod, I trust SS.

I didn't trust IE either in the transfer market or with his selections.

As for it settling down when players are in form, I presume you mean if we're winning 😀  If not, it never settles down, we'll be clamouring for Forrester, Dempsey and Schon until they play then saying they should be dropped!  When we win one, it will be the usual "don't change a winning team", as if they are the only set of players capable of winning a game.

Gonna be a tough game against a good team. Pressure is on to get a result. No idea what the score will be.

And right back! Tutu is never a defender, while he’s got a hole in his arse.

What position is that then because he looks like he’d make a pretty good No10 for me and would be more of a scoring threat playing off Burstow than the other two do?

A wide forward

Do you mean like AC because SS didn’t see that role fitting the way he wants to play? I don’t expect him to be a winger so wondered if maybe a more central role would suit the lad better?

You'd play a guy who played in the 8th tier last season who you've never seen play in a competitive game ahead of Mcatee and Randall ?....who's not a number 10????? LOL

Edited by Arrested development

McAtee was biz for much of last season (though he did score a few good uns) and from what I've seen pre season, he looks no better.

At what point do we try something else?

I'm not sure you know what a number 10 is.

It’s a number between 9 and 11.

You're always trying to change players' positions.

It's weird.

For me, the stats don't lie, he's quite effective as a centre forward...66 Games, 16 goals 8 assists, those were all at at football league level (not national league)

Even playing him "up top" is 122 games 31 goals and 11 assists

Granted it's not the best stats but baring in mind we had a poor season..

However the attacking midfielder position did work for us well with 11 games, 6 goals and 2 assists!
