Reform are already a shoe in, regardless of what Labour do over the next few years. Reform voters are not bright people. It's going to be fucking hilarious when their lives are made even worse in order to benefit the top 1%, all because they got whipped into a frenzy about a few foreigners. Enjoy the next few years of a relatively normal, progressive government, because it's going to be an absolute shitshow in 2029.

The polls show Labour on 20% now. They only got a massive majority with 33%. Whatever. If the polls are correct, the ‘not bright people’ have abandoned Labour and gone to Reform. I’m actually surprised they are polling 20% I suspect that will continue to reduce.

Yep, designed in 1916, almost 50 years before the PLO existed

Fair enough, seems the commentator was being somewhat disingenuous.

Nevertheless, it was later adopted by the terrorist organisation.

Somewhat different to the suggestion that the nebulus figure of the far right had nicked ours.

Who was the commentator?

I was looking for info on the Sydney marathon (lad’s just done a pb) and came across this.

I just googled to see what they were protesting about, it seems they have immigration issues as well, even though we're often told they don't, and they have the perfect system. Reuters claim only 5000-8000 protesters, rather than 100K,either way, it does, I guess prove it's a global issue, and not just a European one

Edit: Sydney Herald claim 15K protesters.

Yep. I posted it because of Elon Musk’s comments. Others had pointed out the discrepancies in numbers.
There were 2 other demonstrations going on today as well. Anti Fascists and pro Palestine. Add to it the crowds for the marathon and I doubt anyone really knows.

Fair point, either way, a lot of people out protesting about something or other. I hope @bolty58was there with his water cannon

Even worse than what? What's going on now?

Enjoy the next few years? You just said its kind of already bad ... but then said normal & progressive. You seem confused

Is it bad now and it will get worse?

Or have we got it good now and it'll be a shitshow if Labour lose out at the next election?

What can we expect? You seem to know

Doesn't matter who's in charge pal ... Things won't effect most of us in the slightest.

Not wasting my time explaining it. You'll see. 👍

Nah ... its because you don't know.

You seem to be writing off Labour yourself with your certainty that Reform will get in.

You'll just be spouting the same shite as you did when the tories were in charge.

You won't be worse or better off ... same as you weren't 2, 3 ,4 years ago.

But you'll be on here everyday telling everyone how shit the country is IF Labour don't get back in.

He’s easily confused. Which isn’t surprising with him being a racist thicko.

You seem upset. What are your favourite Reform policies that don't involve immigration?

Not everyone who will vote for Reform will be a thick racist, but all the thick racists will vote for Reform.

Why do folk come up with these ridiculous claims. 🤦🏻

Walked through Victoria Square this morning  there are 3 Union flags flying above the town hall.

Maybe if every council building in the country did the same there could be no disgruntled citizens running about with cans of red paint , and cheap ebay flags

The Labour government desperately need a reset now they're all back to work... they have become very disconnected with domestic policies and using terms such as"not bright people" is an example of how metropolitan elites loose touch....

Remember how Brown was caught on a Sky TV microphone describing one of his very ordinary supporters a "bigoted woman" after she debated and challenged his immigration and economic policies... probably helped him lose the election.

I see myself as reasonably bright having A Levels and a good engineering honours degree but find myself being driven away from the current incumbents, who I actually voted for.

The "not very brights" probably won't vote but the thinking classes are becoming concerned.

I don't think Cheese speaks on behalf of the Labour party TBF.

Brown absolutely torpedoed his election campaign with those comments for sure and deserved to lose.

Slightly flattered that he thinks I represent the "metropolitan elite" as well.

A definition of "metropolitan elite " for those us that live in Bolton could be helpful
