Having learned of the comedian's arrest, I did wonder whether to link it in my post to Boby.

I chose not to, in anticipation of the responses. A wise choice.

The apparent lack of knowledge about his case is understandable as it was fairly new.

If it was known about, but dismissed, then that's a whole new ball game.

As a result of this online safety act, the government (home office) have reportedly been  sending letters out to companies in America as they have breached the law, even though they're not in this country, and we have no jurisdiction there.

On top of the other recent cases, there is a worrying trend.

Not a single person I've heard comment on this, has approved of it.

Even the PM has been critical of it.

At least Linehan, who had to be hospitalised as a result of his detention, was bailed though: thank goodness for small mercies eh?

 The last three claims you made in response to me have all been proven to be false or massively exaggerated. Turns out Birmingham council did light up the library for VJ Day. Nobody has been arrested solely for the charge of flying an English flag. And the Palestinian flag wasn’t created by terrorists.

 I don’t know where you’re reading all this  nonsense, or if it’s just in your head.

 But when you end up making such wildly false claims about what’s going on or where we’re heading. It’s no surprise that folk are calling you a screecher. 

 People are perfectly free to express their patriotism if they wish. A council removing flags on health and safety grounds isn’t evidence otherwise.
