Oldham Athletic (A) - EFL Trophy

Interesting on the post match interviews that they are bigging this game up.

An opportunity for the squad to excel again.

A winning draw on penalties - could be the most irrelevant penalty shoot-out ever 😂

What a game, missed pen, 8 goals, hit post, hit bar, missed chances for both teams.  What a great way to spend a Tuesday night and all for £10 ! home for 9-30, a bacon sarnie and a brew watching the

  • Shame about conceding a couple, but this has been a great run-out for our second string. This is easily the strongest squad we've had since Football Ventures took over, and the youth system is bearing

If it’s written in the stars it’s Blackpool (Evatt return) or Barnsley (because we always do)

One things for sure all of those 4 will want to avoid us (unless they’d rather get knocked out 😂

All tough games, but all winnable, lets do it!

Stockport. Nailed on. We need to put these fuckers back in there box!

I'd rather play them first week in December and at home than later on in the season

That Harrogate away day always just so tantalisingly out of reach.

Agreed, on the face of it a tough list and you wonder how they've all ended up 2nd, but time we spun it around to their fans looking at us and not fancying it much

Barnsley managed to lose both their games against men, and still couldn't get knocked out 😀

Bloody men.

If you’re on about making rash judgements about our players - like Morley - then I 100% agree

But if you can’t bask in the moment of a young BWFC fan playing and scoring for his boyhood club, a club he’s been with since 7 years of age, then I 100% disagree.

Even in his stale wumming addiction, it should still be possible for him to ascertain that Oldham are a league two side.

Thought that number 40 who came on, Irwin I think, looked good.

Reminded me of Luca Connell.

We seem to be getting a bit of flack as a fan base on the old socials for not observing a minutes silence for Remembrance Day before the match last night.

I didn’t go so can’t comment but most of the replies seem to point that there’s no working speakers in that away end. Was that the case?

After the Vale nobhead rightly got stick on Saturday, it’d be in poor taste for us to then not observe mid week

Did not attend but i was watching it on the telly....Bolton fans got stuck behind the goals but right at the top

At the time it was raining very heavy and they were singing away when the Announcement was made for the minutes silence.

Not a chance did anyone in the away end hear this announcement as you could only just hear it on the telly.

Guarantee nobody who attended heard that announcement in the away end.

Aye apparently the loudspeaker system in away end was not working either . I watched on telly and did not hear any announcement, but might have turned on late, players just stood about

I've seen Marc Iles mentioning this a couple of times, referee's announcement about it was barely audible anywhere

The referee didn't seem to know what to do.  Watching on telly there was a barely audible announcement over the pa system. Normally at that point the players would congregate around each side of the centre circle but the ref didn't seem to initiate it.  If this had happened then the singing would've stopped and the silence observed.

You couldn’t hear anything from the PA System at all, can’t recall if they set up for a minutes silence around the centre circle either,

Could hear fuck all from in away stand, just the occasional distant mumbling. The speaker system was pretty bad too...

James McClean will be stroking his widge over this.

Is there any video of this goal fest ?

Apologies if it's been posted & I've missed it.

We've got plenty nobheads follow us but they still wouldn't disrupt a minutes silence en masse and any one who does would soon be made to stop

Didn’t hear any announcement at all for a minute’s silence, nor were the players round the centre circle, nor was there a referee’s whistle.

i heard it, we really are a scummy fan base

surprising with all our flag / poppy shaggers

I was sat right at the back in the centre behind the goal. Me and my lad went up about 15 minutes before the start of the game and from there it seemed like one PA speaker was working to the very far left of us playing low level music (barely audible). I didn’t know anything about a minute silence till I got home and saw the socials after the match. Head no announcement at all but the thing that struck me was that there was no whistle from the Ref and both teams carried on warming up. Every time theres been the need for a minutes silence (or applause) both teams are usually stood either side of the centre circle and the Ref initiates it all. None of this appeared to happen at the game so all this slagging us off is nonsense.
