We’ve known Toby from the day he was born! Me and missus are good friends with his mum and dad (Great lad and family). We’d predicted pre-game that with both Mcatee and Rodrigues unlikely to see out 90 mins, there’s a good chance a change in that number 10 role would have meant him coming on. He was immense in that second half yesterday, doing the work people don't think he can do. He blocked, pressed, tackled, covered the defence when needed and still tried to get us moving forward including one proper lung-busting effort to get down the wing. I don't get the stick he gets on here and social media in general. Quote

I do think it helps when we aren't chasing a goal. Its so rare for us to be in any game at any time thinking "let's just not concede, nothing happening is the aim". A completely different mindset to 90% of games when GJ and Sheehan are under constant pressure to create, to find a man and any tackles and interceptions are hardly noticed, they are just a means to an end not something to be celebrated.
