Luton Town (H)

They need to win at ours to have a chance of play offs.

This could potentially mean (obviously other results going a certain way), we could be playing them three games in a row.

They're proper in form too.

3-2 to us

Is the exact opposite of what we should do .

  • This Luton game is one I want us to go out and win. Strongest team available please. Rest players later if needed. End Luton's play-off hopes and put a marker down.

It'll be a hell of a jump down from the upper tier.. Fair play to them if so!

Got half the lower tier sold

Even so... Don't think I've seen that at our stadium from away fans. Don't expect it to start tomorrow

I have heard Tommy ten names is flying by private jet to lead the MIGs into action.

If you want to chip in he has set up a crowd funder for this.

The club seems very concerned about the potential for a pitch invasion but I'm not exactly sure why

Absolutely worth pointing out the reasons for not entering the pitch, but it seems slightly odd that the club think the fans might want to invade the pitch for a non-promotion/relegation/play off win match?

Win, lose or draw everyone will just be consumed with looking towards the play offs won't they?  Why would they go on the pitch?

If this is a heads up before the play off 2nd leg in 2 weeks fair enough but we probably need a reminder before that too.

Yeah I don't get why they think it'll happen this game. I just don't think anyone is arsed knowing there is going to be one more home game.

Tutu IMO links up well with ACD.

ACD works really hard so helps out defensively. Tutu is a threat going forward so if they double team ACD gives us a good option.

ACD makes playing Tutu at RB bearable, for those reasons. When Tutu's had the likes of Apter in front of him it's exposed him, as has been the case on the other side when Gale's been in front of Conway or Johnston.

Indeed, not really much reason for anyone to be that arsed tomorrow, however dim they are, a message best saved for hammering home after a 2nd leg that sends us to Wembley.

The antics after Barnsley, followed by the Oxford no show, made us a laughing stock

They can

Didn't stop our fans coming on the pitch when we won the semis

They can't get promoted tomorrow, or get to Wembley, and they are away.

Fans come on the pitch at 90% of EFL grounds playing at home after winning a play off semi and/or getting to Wembley.

Nobody seriously thinks fans are coming on the pitch tomorrow.

It’s become a common thing at all levels. Oxford did it in their semi final.

Watching The Big Match Revisited etc from the 70s, coming on the pitch after routine league games was commonplace.  At the likes of Fulham and Palace (ie not tiny clubs), kids wearing parkas routinely came on the pitch to pat the players on the back and then just wandered around for no apparent reason.

I remember seeing it at a few local grounds in the early/mid 80s (Bury, Wigan, Stockport), nobody thought it unusual.

Maybe not quite on the pitch but a few Stoke came out the away end and scattered all the kids in the crazy corner.

Always find it mad that since Preston we never really had a pitch invasion till we went up under Parky.

Even those Wolves and Swindon Semis folk stayed off.

Boro home etc.

Why even come on to the pitch if you win a play off semi ?

you haven’t won anything…..

Think we rest most of the core team, I'd rather risk 5th place than Kenny, ACD or Rodrigues get injured. Momentum is a bit overrated, plus it's not like we've been battering teams for weeks, so i'm not convinced there really is any real momentum anyways.

Start the players who maybe have something to prove, Richard Taylor (who lol), Simons and McAtee.

Maybe even blooding Temple and some of the decent youth prospects after half time/60 mins.

Maybe try a totally new formation to try to throw off the play off opposition research scouts.

Strange when the stakes aren’t massive - but this has a really big game feel about it. 25k expected.

Really looking forward to it.

I loved these parody wind up accounts.

This is comedy genius. You would have to be really gullible to get drawn in by this.

The only people we should be resting are those who are carrying a knock. The likes of ACD and Rodrigues need to build up more match sharpness, so definitely need to play. Strikers are confidence players, so I’d 100% be starting Kenny - to go for 6 in 6.

I’d also get Simons and (if fit) Erhahon some match time. Probably off the bench.

Get JOT back in the team after suspension.

Just don’t want us to help someone have a good day at our place and build momentum.

Our season starts next week. Hopefully a good match too

Best 11 and in the words of Basil Fawlty let’s give them a dam good thrashing !

Well he may or he may not be fishing but those are my thoughts,,,,Today is a nothing day

We could put our best team out get beat 2-0 Player sent off three match ban and kenny and ACD injured

All this momentum is crap the play-offs will be typical cup games and our play off team should be up in the stands watching

Hate seeing away fans celebrating at our place,so any win will do

When was the last time we sent opposing fans home crying ( promotion, relegation). Was it Leeds?
