Bradford Away - 2nd Leg Thursday 14th May

Just reading their ticket details for 2nd  leg at Bradford.

Looks like they are having both stands behind both goals - savvy move from them. Also having the two blocks (F&G) we had last week.

All seats available to home supporters in the Kop, North West Corner, Morrisons Family Stand, TL Dallas Community Stand and the Bradford Lifts Stand (blocks F and G) will be unreserved, enabling City fans to occupy both goals.

Probably just giving us the nominal 2k in the other corner? (A, B, C ?)

Don't go buying tickets just yet.  We might be in trouble with the FA! Lofty spotted at Bradford's training ground 😁

Massive relief that one, a few open mouthed fans around me, wondering how the ref didn't book him.  I'll have to watch it back and see what happened, but at the time I could understand Bradford fans annoyance.

Similar to mine when Jackson assaulted RR a bit later in a clear retaliation for their collision on the touch line a few minutes earlier.  Clearest booking you'll see for Jackson but ref was baffling.

Watched that challenge on RR again, the ref clearly points to the earlier incident saying it was retaliation. The earlier challenge must have hurt as RR stood him but it certainly looked accidental.

Yes, at the time I commented that the ref pointed towards the first challenge, which makes it even worse reffing for me, was he saying I saw you decided to foul him badly but I'll let it go because you were just retaliating?  Incredible, could have properly injured RR.

I was watching on tv (obviously), ref definitely pointed back to the previous incident and it seemed clear he was letting him away with that one in retaliation, which is a strange decision, but was telling him he'd book him if he did it again.

I'm surprised that the clear elbow from the fat bog eyed Manc twat on ACD hasn't been mentioned or the time just before that when he skipped free because the Bradford player was more interested in fouling him than going for the ball

Going to be a very long 4 days.

The Ref for Thursday night is Yorkshireman Tom Kirk.

He last refereed one of our games v Birmingham in our 3-1 home win last season.

He's plenty of Championship experience and has reffed a few Prem games.

Heres hoping he's decent.

could work in our favour, he might be a Leeds fan

To be fair, it’s like saying how can a lad from Lancashire / Greater Manchester ref the game (due to bias towards us) - he could be a Wigan fan and therefore hate us. This lad could be a massive Leeds fan - he wouldn’t be helping Bradford out!

In reality, I doubt there’s any risk whatsoever, I’m just hopeful he’s of a higher quality than the usual shite considering he’s reffed higher up the leagues.

Or better still a Huddersfield fan?

Aye

It's like someone from down south being worried Mike Dean was reffing because they think folk from Lancashire stick together

Whilst we all know Tranmere hate us and neither of us are in Lancashire

No they hate us more than Bradford now

Bit like us really Bradford with no proper tradition rival.

Think they hate Leeds but Leeds don't give a toss.

Yes I think it’s a bit similar to ourselves with Wigan who none of us consider as equals and I’m sure it’s much the same for Huddersfield and Leeds with Bradford although to be fair to the Bantams they could claim to have a bigger fan base than Huddersfield nowadays which of course the Pie Eaters will never have over us.

we've played these fuckers 4 times this season and they've scored 1 goal against us, score first and we'll be reet

Exactly.

They can play as good as they want and keep saying how Valley Parade is like the Maracana or something.

But in reality, we have played them 4 times and been better than them in every single matchup.

Even more importantly, we went there a few weeks ago when it was packed out and not only did we manage it well, but I felt their fans were incredibly quiet, like their away fans as well.

As said before, we play in front of bigger and louder crowds (my personal opinion) every home game.

We lose this game if we take our eye of the ball and capitulate.

Which despite all of this still strikes an ungodly amount of nerves to my soul.

But to our players, nothing to fear, we're better than them but we've got to work as hard like we did on Saturday.

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.

Can we just forward to Thursday night now? The wait is killing me.
