mickbrown Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 (edited) Cheers Mick, at least I can now rest assured I didn't make it up. I am rather disspointed though that you didn't mention who played, who won, how many pies were produced (and what the breakdown was, i.e. 50% Meat, 20% Cheese & Onion etc) and how many people there where in attendance.....................and what indeed was done with the surplus savoury snacks Spurs beat Sheff United. Crowd - 20k Surplus pies were indeed given away, cant help you with the breakdown of the said pastry savouries. Edited January 4, 2007 by mickbrown
Guest Biff Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 They were Greenhalgh's finest and it was the last time a non league club won the FA Cup.
HomerJay Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 lots of speculation today that were preparing a 5m bid for nigel reo-coker... i reckon he be a crackinq aquisition but 5m seems a little steep....
frank_spencer Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 So far i've heard Beckham Benayoun Nugent Them 2 scottish lads again all coming in. Stelios to toon!
jules_darby Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Don't think we'll spend much money unless we sell. Then it could get interesting.
Happy Wanderer Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Out's Stelios to Newcastle ??1M TBH to Chelsea ??M In's None
Guest not_even_irish Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Just before Christmas I was boozing with a bloke who is on the board at FC United. Apparently Bury owe them money for some pies (!), and their chairman has assured the Newnichs they will be reimbursed in January because the bucket-shakers are getting a sell-on fee when Nugent signs for Bolton. Sounds like arse biscuits given the figures that have been bandied about this week, but that's what I've been told. Perhaps would have been more believable if I'd been able to post a fortnight ago! Would be plausable if the pies had owt to do with Bury or FC but as they don't........
Casino Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 at it again aren't you letting hard facts get in the way...........
Nowack Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Looks like Campos is keen to stay but the ??2.5m would have been tempting. Bolton Wanderers to Athletic Bilbao for ??2.5m Campo's agent, Miguel Angel Cermeno: "Ivan is very happy at Bolton. He has no intention of leaving the club. He is really happy with the team and wants to complete his contract. I have transmitted this information to the coach Sam Allardyce."
cbwfcd Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 (edited) Looks like Campos is keen to stay but the ??2.5m would have been tempting. I don't think it is worth 2.5m to lose Campo mid-season because of the time it would take for a replacement to settle in. At the end of the season though it could be quite tempting indeed. Gonk Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Campo's agent, Miguel Angel Cermeno: "Ivan is very happy at Bolton. He has no intention of leaving the club. He is really happy with the team and wants to complete his contract. I have transmitted this information to the coach Sam Allardyce." Just run this through the bablfish translator: Campo would like to go back to Bilbao but is not going to hand in a transfer request and lose bonuses. If, however you want to sell him to them, there wouldn't be a problem
jules_darby Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 PLEEEEAAASE!!!! fuckin sick of watch the shite excuse for a footballer that is nicky hunt. that lad is stealing a fookin living! I'm beginning to side with Homo on this one. I've tried to stick up for Hunt, but his defending just isn't up to scratch consistently enough for me. I know the team was poor in general, but watch the Crouch goal at Anfield; he loses Hunt in the box by simply standing still and when he volleys it, Hunt trys to turn his back. He then backed off him again for a header that Crouch missed. And the Andy Cole goal versus Pompey; he wasn't on his own, but he did his usual trick - backing off and letting Cole cut inside with a shot on goal, rather than "showing him inside" into a crowded area and blocking an attempt on goal.
Supersyd Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Salgado....................is coming for One Million. Take my word on this (from a very good source).
