Casino Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 add the same for samuel. my mate (villa season ticket holder) says he would swap him for hunt. my choices rb luke young if cafc go down/glen johnson lb wayne bridge/baines/clement md jagielka/coker/muamba st sharp/bendtner/kamara most depend on the promotion relagation battles but all realistic targets wayne bridge is far from realistic 1 we'd not want him if gardner is fit 2 he'd get a nose bleed north of brum 3 i'd expect he's on 50k a week

exiledwhite2 Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 I'd agree Young, Bridge, Jagielka and Sharp would be a tidy return for a summers work and would cover us nicely all round I think We virtually never buy from Engand though !!!!
Henrick_Pedigol Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 I read in World Soccer that Riquelme is back in Argentina on loan. A tiff at Villareal perhaps? I bet Sam is having a sniff
superkev Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Riquelme is on a 5 month loan back to Boca Juniors after tension with the villareal directors. There would be no shortage of takers but it wouldn't surprise me if Sam has looked into this. Also i am sure Saviola is out of contract at the end of the season and we were heavily linked with him last year
pete harry Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Dean Windass has had a good season. Might be worth a punt.
tyldesley_white Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Dean Windass has had a good season. Might be worth a punt. What to see how far you can kick him
enzo gambaro Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Oh and Geremi from Chelsea Good shout. I was thinking the same thing at the weekend.
jayjayoghani Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Anyone know anything about Pavon from Madrid? The (shite) rumour mill has him close to a deal with us apparently? http://www.tribalfootball.com/article.php?id=37000 Also in this morning's Daily Mail.. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...in_page_id=1779
LeggyMountbatten Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Danny Murphy - excellent set piece delivery Jan Koller - If we are playing long ball, we may as well do it properly (we could sign Kevin Francis too) But more likely to be http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cameroon_national_football_team http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senegal_national_football_team http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tunisia_national_football_team http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%C3%B4te_d%2...l_football_team http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigeria_national_football_team
frank_spencer Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Scott Brown looks decent, yes i know he's playing in a tinpot league in a third world country, but we need decent young players. Saviola and riquleme whilst they would be nice to have i very much doubt there wouldn't be bigger clubs interested.
Casino Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 aye, as suggested check out the ivory coast saw em in the world cup power, pace, black.....and needed for the acn perfect
mickadoo Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Alexander Frei (Goal scoring old fashioned striker), Arthur Boka (Like Gardner, good at world cup), Kim Kallstrom (Like Lampard), Andreas Hinkel (German full back - 17 caps but not playing at Seville). That would be brilliant.

Guest as Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 I'd like to see some home grown players come though the ranks. They'd get sl?gged off all & sundry on here tho
mickadoo Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 "It has now been suggested that the exit door is starting to creek open for players like Claudio Cacapa, Florent Malounda, Juninho Pernambucano, Kim Kallstrom," "while Swedish playmaker Kallstrom is linked with Middlesbrough." He's quality, but if Middlesbrough are in with a chance then we would be too. http://au.setanta.com/portal/article/footb...02572bb00568487
Traf Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 I'd like to see some home grown players come though the ranks. They'd get sl?gged off all & sundry on here tho Home grown? Have you seen our reserves? There's not many English in there either.
mickadoo Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Should probably see a centre back come from the youth in the next season, given the shortage in first team, and the number of them in the reserves/coming in.
Sweep Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Izale McLeodHe's done well on the goal scoring front this year, but he's a mentalist, he's been sent off about 4 times this season
frank_spencer Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Home grown? Have you seen our reserves? There's not many English in there either. I'd give topi obadaye and david gbemi a go just to chuckle at RV trying to pronounce their names
