Tonge moor green jacket Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 The difference was substitutions: With 10 men they went for it. We made nonsensical ones which played into their hands. Or second goal was scored by pushing onto them- not taking undue risks, but by pressing. They put Walcott on and fear entered the players as it did the crowd, and Megson did not have the nouse to do anything about it. Thing is though the result still flatters us, they were much better; but given the situation losing was criminal. Still all will be better next year when the new man arrives to tend his flock
bwfc2003 Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 My moneys still in my pocket mate. Bet you wish yours was. I thought we were the best team for the first hour. the difference was the quality of subs arsehole whinger was able to bring on
Carlos Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Perhaps we saw the writing on the wall many weeks ago Perhaps we didnt want to waste ?30+ pounds watching a team who couldnt give a flying fcuk. Perhaps you didnt. Technically, been moaning for years, not weeks. Even during the good times, that says it all I think.
Casino Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 (edited) I thought we were the best team for the first hour. the difference was the quality of subs arsehole whinger was able to bring on i thought we were outplayed all game, cept for abit around h/t no shame in any of that, its just the frustration of squandering the opportunity we'd created Edited March 29, 2008 by Casino

Perhaps you didnt. I am not going to watch a Megson team again after what he did in Lisbon; to be honest its not just Lisbon its everything about the ginger tw@ Selling Anelka and not replacing him and just being a fackin c,nt It doesn't mean because I some people are not going they dont care; so just because you are stupid and support that halfwit and Gartslime who brought him here dont get us who are not going until things change
HomerJay Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 i thought we were outplayed all game as sick as i feel now, even at 2-0 i wasnt confident. and obviously neither were the players. we are extremely fragile at the moment. at 2-0 we should should have shut up shop (even though the fans would have moaned all the way through the 2nd half) just keep telling myself i didnt really expect much before the game anyway.... but it aint working.
Ani Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 My moneys still in my pocket mate. Bet you wish yours was. there is nothing about you that i wish i had/could be. you are a total and utter ragging red ginger.
TotalBelief2024 Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 I watched on TV today. Can no longer justify ?70+ to watch a Megson team. After Lisbon then Wigan I decided to keep my money in my pocket. Today, the problem..... NOT FIT Forget fat Nolan, the side was exhausted with a man more!!!!!! Same happened at Wigan. Paid too much, not fit, no respect for the manager. And for the record, the penalty was a defo pen. Cahill clattered him. And the red was also the right descision. Sack the ginger joke now, at least let us end the season with some pride

To be honest, i don't think anyone really expected us to get something out of the game but it's the manner of the defeat that could destroy us. Fragile is the right word.

I support bolton wanderers not 'gartslime' now fcuk off. I can't understand the subsitutions made today, I had a feeling when davies shot straight at the keeper that we could send up losing. With other results going against us I think we are definently heading for the championship, there has to be a certain amount of responsibility placed on Megson but I think the players have had a much bigger part to play than they have been credited. Wolves, burnley, blackpool, preston... can't wait It's not like I want us to go down but I can see next season being far more enjoyable than recent ones (in the league). TotalBelief2024 Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Fair point. At least we have something to aim for other than 4th bottom, and a piss poor effort in all cups
Hutch Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 My moneys still in my pocket mate. Bet you wish yours was. You're a very clever lad, well done It was an very entertaining game, but not the result we wanted...well for some of us, I'm sure some of our 'fans' are very happy tonight
Trotski Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 For me there is no excuse. 2-0 up at home against 10 men, feck me any manager with the slightest bit of tactical awareness should be able to cope with that. We made em look like Brazil. I've set my price for a season ticket, doubt it Gartside will gwt anywhere near it.
Electric Gretar Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Didn't go today as full of flu and achin all over, ended up watching the game ont tinternet. Can safely say it WAS most definitely a penalty guys! The Diaby sending off was justified too, it was very nearly another Eduardo incident Can't believe Wenger was shaking his head at the decision, he usually "didn't see it"
passmosster Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 They put Walcott on and fear entered the players as it did the crowd, and Megson did not have the nouse to do anything about it. Aye, and one good hard tackle on Walcott and he doesn't want to know.
Sweep Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Aye, and one good hard tackle on Walcott and he doesn't want to know. provided we could catch him
Smiffs Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Itn' thowden days, a sub coming on with the instruction to 'win the game' would have had the enthusiasm immediatley kicked out of him, especially someone who is 12 years old.
no balls Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 My moneys still in my pocket mate. Bet you wish yours was. Tony, love, I'm one of those folk who has a good amount of expendible income, goes to plenty of away days and have a season ticket. Now normally, I ignore your negativity seeing as you confess to not being well in the head. But stupid smart arse comments like that make me pity you.
breezeblock Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 I've been on quite a few BWFC messageboards and forums over the years and they have all pretty much travelled in the same direction this season...we hate Lee, Megson, Gartside, Davies, Reebok, pies, foreign kiosk attendants, etc. Now there's nothing wrong with a moan (I moan more than most) but it's become evidently clear that the biggest moaners and whingers and the most militant fans on the internet all have one thing in common of late: none of them actually go to the matches. Make of that what you will - I'm note sure myself what it means - but it strikes me as strange that the angriest of web posters are sat at home when the rest of us are sat in our seast at the Reebok.

But i'm guessing that you are one of those lasses pretending to be a bloke who are about 5 stone overweight, trying to fit in with a male dominated crowd. The sort of girl that drinks pints of mild and pretends. Its a shame really isnt it. At least i've been honest with my problems. And when i'm "not well in the head" please be sure that my bank balance will make more interest in a month than you earn in a year my love. Never mind.

I am chubby and a bit of a laddete, you are correct, love but I'm definately not a mild drinker. And if you'd sooner your bank balance was healthier than going to the game, then fine, but don't be such a moaner then about what's going on at Bolton as surely it's not that important to you.
