no balls Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 God Bless him. I hope the journos who've been saying it's money hang their heads in shame! Double the money at Celtic? Oooooh!

freds dad Posted January 11, 2010 Author Posted January 11, 2010 He immediatly is using the term We, Phil gartside "Owen is a very bubbly character and is infectious" Unlike someone who has just left the club
desperado Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Didn't see the press conference this morning, I have just looked on Sky, BWFC and Bolton News websites and there's no transcripts - anyone got anything? I presume from comments above it went well and he came across with passion and enthusiasm, I like the fact he seemingly used "We" when answering questions. Any other details would be appreciated.

Matey, I wouldn't get too excited about the use of "we". Big Sam was on Radio 5 last night during a discussion on English Coaches and he repeatedly used the word "we" when talking about his time at Bolton and what "we" achieved thanks to his great knowledge of the game and modern methods! Most managers use the term "we", its just our previous manager who struggled with it!

freds dad Posted January 11, 2010 Author Posted January 11, 2010 It'll be on the loop every half hour I would imagine. Its saved on my Sky+ so I can review it in 18 months.
Ani Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Granted, but much better than "I" or "this club" or when a recently departed manager refferred to people os 'pathetic' or 'them' (although they were pathetic)
Mounts Kipper Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 And Coyle used the word entertainment on numerous occasions.
jayjayoghani Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 And Coyle used the word entertainment on numerous occasions. Didnt Ian Greaves famously use the word once? Not sure it went down well then
Casino Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Didnt Ian Greaves famously use the word once? Not sure it went down well then often come back to that quote laughable thing was greaves was arguing against just hoofing it upfield how times change

Carlos Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 He says "so" quite a lot. Garty said he was "infectious" more than once, like that's a good thing.

Guest bwfcdan Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 how much did garty/davies back sam with for anelka? Other than Anelka, he was given practically no money to spend...
Carlos Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Perhaps they saw the players he wanted to spunk money on and told him to get to fuck?
