SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Watched the green lantern tonight. Fucking shit, dont bother! For once, you and I agree... I didn't want to put my review of it online because I don't tend to use profanities. Quote
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Also, you should ALL watch X-Men First Class if you haven't done so already... best comic book movie ever! Quote
Danny G Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Also, you should ALL watch X-Men First Class if you haven't done so already... best comic book movie ever! Â Superhero movies are for kids Quote
Danny G Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 I can't recall anyone mentioning this film on here  It was a sick idea obviously, but it needed more gore like Hostel and Saw.  Human Centipede 2 is out this year, BBFC have banned it over here, in the directors words "it makes the 1st one seem like my little pony"  Sick film Quote

HomerJay Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 (edited) finally sat down to watch avatar.   ok, the effects and cgi were great, the idea is all very clever, but the film was long and boring and predictable.  to be honest im not really into the whole fantasy stuff anyway. needed more sci-fi for me, and far more action.   it was like lost meets narnia meets the matrix  and i suppose all the hype didnt help either, i was expecting star wars for the 21st century.    7/10, not a bad fillm, but nowhere near was it as suggested in the media     in fact i had to bring myself back down to earth by catching the last 40mins of harold and kumar get the munchies. Big_Sharps Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Watched Harry Brown the other night and really liked it, also saw Pulp Fiction for the first time and enjoyed that also although the first 30 minutes bored me. Quote
SpiritofBurnden Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 'Heat' was on Film Four last night. Great film with one of the best shoot-out scenes in cinema history. Quote
Didledee Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Â Tempted to download this, but it's not in English, would need subs, reminds me of Cloverfield, Blair Witch, with the camera view and that. Â I watched Heat last night with Pacino and De Niro, thought it was v.good, great gun battle scenes. Â Transformers 3, not far away I watched hall pass a week back, was hilarious imo. Quote
Zico Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Superhero movies are for kids  you not seen Watchmen then?  ace film  far from being a kids film Quote

You are a Wanderers fan and don't find the need to swear? Â I like swearing, it is big and it is hard!! Quote
jazza Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 I've watched In Bruges and Death Race 2 recently  I liked In Bruges, funny in parts and well acted.  Death Race 2 was just dog turd Quote
Boothy Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Watched Insidious now there is a BDrip knocking about. The first half was excellent and for parts I thought James Wan was going to be a master of horror. Nothing seminal here, in fact it is obviously inspired by 70s and 80s horror. Think that's what spoiled the 2nd half as it lends far too much from Poltergeist and the Saw influence is obvious. 6/10. Â Also watched Quarantine 2: Terminal. Shite name aside, this was a decent stab at a zombie flic. Bit of a tenuous link to the first one which I expected more of really. I haven't seen Rec 2 but Rec is better than both the yank films. 7/10. Quote

Belting film. Â As a massives comic nerd my only problems with it were Emma Frost wasn't hot enough and Moira McTaggert should be a jock. Quote
DazBob Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 am also watching a TV series but not saying which in case anyone posts any spoilers... Â He dies at the end. Â Â I'm currently watching The Pacific. More brutal/gory than Band of Brothers. Enjoying it immensely though. Currently 3 episodes in. Quote

Big City Girl Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 I can't remember if anybody mentioned this and I'm not trawling through 19 pages. Â Breaking Bad, an American Series about a middle aged chemistry teacher who starts to make drugs. It's very good. Quote
DirtySanchez Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Fell asleep watching burn after reading last night. Â Nowt to do with the film mind. Â Is it worth a re-run? Quote
