M G WHITES Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 goals on sunday prove it was actually skd's goal!! and his 100th goal in the premier league! Maybe the bookies should have been watching then as my mate in pub had a tenner on Elmo and 3-1,Two grand he got As own goals dont count
Nobster Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Not true-I'd say we took around 600. A lot arrived late due to the transport chaos, & a few had to leave early to get back to Euston on time for pre -booked trains. [/quot F*cking nightmare with the engineering works, we did a tour of London on the under-ground,then a bus from Stratford what a shit hole that was. We then had to queue for tickets and did not get in the ground until 3-25pm, then had to leave at 4-30pm for a bus to Canning Town another shit hole, to get the tube back to Euston for 6-20pm. This did include several stops for liquid refreshent . I estimate there we took about 800, poor turn-out for the first away game.
enzo gambaro Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Nice to see David Cross mentioned in the same breath as Super Kev and Dull as Piss Shearer!
Ratwhite Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Walking down from Canning Town station we didn't see a single Bolton fan until we'd rounded the ground. Proper shit-hole there too, I though Elephant & Castle was bad. Had a 3 mile walk from Barking with many WHU. Traffic was a nightmare. Turned it into a mini pub crawl. Also didn't see any other trotters until near enough at the ground. Thought the turn out was OK considering tube problems. Made a decent bit of noise too. Chatting with a few WHU in the evening, They were concentrating more on their inadequacies rather than slagging us.

jules_darby Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Steward told one of our party that we'd sold a few over 400 I'd have guessed at 500 Very poor turnout, but those that were there were supportive and loud I'd rather it be like that than us take 4,000 negative fookers
Guest bwfcdan Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 (edited) Never really noticed it before, but the area around Upton Park is a reet mess. It's also like a bigger version of Daubhill Oh and i'd have said there was about 600 of us there, constanstly abusing Rob Green Edited August 23, 2010 by bwfcdan

That would be 20 rows of 20 people and that doesn't tally with what I saw at all....
Pablo Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Am I missing something here ?? What did Kevin Davies do wrong ??
jules_darby Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Sorry but we had more than 400 there. That would be 20 rows of 20 people and that doesn't tally with what I saw at all.... Fair enough, but that's what a steward* told Marple White Didn't look like that many more from where I was - there were huge gaps. * Not the same steward that Gumbo and Big E spent 10 mins of the second half under the stands trying to convince to let them make her airtight
bwfcol Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Am I missing something here ?? What did Kevin Davies do wrong ?? He dared to score a goal and therefore he did something wrong in Grant's opinion
Boothy Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 He dared to score a goal and therefore he did something wrong in Grant's opinion Didn't move his foot when Upson went to headbutt his big toe.

Still say 800 plus.

Still say 800 plus. from looking at the away end on MOTD, it wasn't 800, no chance we only have the last block and there wss loads of empty seats 800 is around a 1/4 of teams normally get, and then the blocks go right across the goal and to the left of it certainly wasn't 1/4 full - 500 sounds about right
passmosster Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Am I missing something here ?? What did Kevin Davies do wrong ?? He was trying, it's not fair.

marple whites Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Enjoy it when we have a smaller following and win !! (gives you more space to go mental when we score) Can always say I was there. Fair play to everyone who went - tough travel with the tube down and got behind the team for the entire game. Got to admit though, 500 is about right (not even a full block sold). Still pretty poor following in the scheme of things. I would think a lot of people were thinking of going to either Arsenal or West Ham with the cost etc

I am led to believe there's more to that than is in that article. So much as to say, there are nobbers are allowed to get on official coaches after acting Charlie Largefeet in the ground and provoking home fans.
