Do Hag Fowders go to Colls, as it's the wrong side of Bolton Road?

A town divided, it's like Rome is Atherton, the posh folk watch Colls, and the poor council house dwellers follow LR.

Went to hyde v chorley last night. Nice ground 6 goal thriller with very debatable last minute penalty. About 30 kids stood just behind the managers dug out calling him shit and then hsving it out with one of the staff before some other bloke had a massive go at the manager from about 5 yards away.. not just us with problems. I can't decide whats worse, a few thousand at the macron or people being able to get that close and personal yo have a go.

How can you get worked up about shite football?

It makes you realise even more the negative effect of a poisonous atmosphere at home games. I was impressed with the hyde manager for appearing to blank it out but I could see why the other bloke snapped. It distracted the bench when they could have been focusing on beating 9 men

I have happened upon a programme for Atherton LR v Bolton Wanderers from 22 July 1992. It's more of an advert for Keegans Opticians than anything else, but names a decent Wanderers team of Felgate, Brown, Burke, Kelly, Seagraves, Winstanley, Green, Darby, Walker, Philliskirk, and Patterson.

Genuinely buzzing for Friday, me. Colls bunch are doing a great job of promoting it so hopefully it pays off with a big crowd. If they play like virtually every game so far then folk will be back.

How is The Reverend? :)

We've enjoyed Colls that much we've been nowhere else yet  :drinks:

I think being able to drink while watching the match has helped.

Unreal crowd at Colls tonight, very different to being there with 50 odd freezing your knackers off for the last couple of seasons. Cracking game as well, hope the bandwagon rolls on at Irlam on Tuesday.
