birch-chorley
oh here we go again. of course burnley were good enough to play in the premier league because they earned the right to, just like we did all them years ago. I dont give a flying fuck what club you are managing, those statistics are fucking terrible and needs addressing urgently. as i said, he needs a bloody good assistant With the play offs in the championship many teams will come up with piss poor squads / budgets such as Burnley, Blackpool etc Man utd have only won 5 away from home from 18 leauge games this season and they are top of the league! Compare Coyles Bolton away record with all the other managers in the league and you will find he is right amongst them. We cant all be Barcelona as much as you may think we should be. We are 8th in the league! When Megson had us anchored in the bottom 7 for his whole tenure posters on this site went out on a limb to point out that he was working with Allardyce / Lee squad not his own. Coyle has been in charge for 15 months, give him a summer where he has a good opportunity to clear the decks (last summer his hands where tied as we had hardly any players at the ends of there contracts) and build his own squad and if in a year its still bad with his own squad then moan! birch-chorley
just a question...did you go on saturday? Yes it was shit, as bad as I saw us play away from home many games last season and the season before and the season before that! However I am of the opinion that without Holden and Mark Davies we are paper thin in the middle of the park and it has made us shit at defending and attacking! For me our weakness is not our managers tactics but our squad and the fact we have too many shit players who cannot make the grade. We always knew that our first team is decent but if we get injuries then we are in trouble, This will be a big summer for Coyle and he will be able to really stretch his legs in the transfer market as so many contracts are due to expire, he can build his own squad that can cope with injuries. birch-chorley
his two most expensive signings of last summer were petrov and alonso His cheapest was Holden, you win some you lose some its the same with all managers. There will be plenty of shit players leaving in the summer so he will have loads of budget available to spend. If half of the players he brings in work out then we will have a much stronger squad. birch-chorley
these shit players have got us to 8th and the verge of a cup final i'll be very impressed if we match that next season with 'his' players The shit players who I meant are the likes of Samuel, JOB, Cohen, Gardner, Sean Davis etc These players have hardly played / contributed this season yet are all likely to be released in the summer. That means Coyle can get 3 or 4 replacements in to strengthen the squad, if half of those replacements work out then we will have a stronger squad than we would with the above in it. As far as I can see all the players who have been regulars will still be here next season bar Cahill.
Mounts Kipper
The team on saturday was basically forced on Coyle so I don't know what people expect, no sturridge, davies, muamba, steinson, holden, ricketts, last week we had a high tempo game with Arsenal and a fabulous win, a midweek game in London, so we have a tired squad with 5- 6 key players missing. There have been away games where we have been really unlucky and maybe we could benefit by changing the formation on occasions, but it beggars belieif that Coyle is being slated, it is the Bolton fans way has been since I was a kid. It seems that our fans take great delight in attempting to derail all the good work that has been done instead of supporting the club, manager and trying to push BWFC forward, its negative and sad world some folk live in. The four who started in midfield last Saturday shouldn't be playing for ANY premiership sides; all four were appalling and Petrov could join them on the way out for me Its been a lot better season but Wembley and now 2 more away defeats with absolute no idea at all has ruined it. Although we have been better we do need to rid of a lot of players and several signings are necessary before next season is started

Although we have been better we do need to rid of a lot of players and several signings are necessary before next season is started Reality is that we probably can't afford to get more than a couple in, so we have to make the best of some we have. When I look at the team sheet and the way the team is set up, I sigh and say. "I hope we don't get tonked to-day." Even at Wolves and West Ham, we gave away possesion for the last 30 minutes and it was due to the hopelessness of the opposition that we won.
