MickyD Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Given that ManU are down to around 1500 tickets for their games at the reebok for persistant standing, do you think next season City may suffer the same sanctions? They stood for 100% of the game so why would they be ok but the team from salford aren't? maybe the BWFC lurkers could answer this one for me.

TBH, you'll notice most of the team that more or less fill the allocation will stand for the duration. City, Liverpool, Newcastle, etc etc I have know issues with it as it no doubt creates a better atmosphere. We should do more of this away, but we let stewards bully us. frank_spencer Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 (edited) The sooner they re-introduce standing areas the better. Make the north and south lowers standing then folk who want to can stand. And people like me who want to sit can do without any argy bargy. But thanks to dirty scouse scumbags killing 96 of their own it'll never happen. Edited August 22, 2011 by frank_spencer

A rarity on here.
HomerJay Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Standing is never ever happening. It's just not.
birch-chorley Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 The Munich fans are getting reduced allocations not for persistant standing in their seats but for persistant standing in the isles. Groups of Munich fans get tickets that are split up across an away section so they just block the gangways standing together. This was the reason Liverpool gave for reducing away allocation for United fans at Anfield this season, I believe local councils have something to do with it as well i.e H&S. IMO Fuck em, I would rather the club sell the extra to Irish munichs at a premium knowing that they will sit / stand in there own seats.
Horwich Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 The club make just as much out of closing the fanzone and using it for corparate MUFC that then sit in upper tier.

Couldn't imagine them not getting at least the lower tier Guess the answer is Utd have been doing it longer and had more warnings? Newcastle were reduced last season for the same reason as Utd, standing in the upper tiers

marple whites Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 United have had their allocation at Anfield reduced to around 1800 (from 3000) for the reasons mentioned.
MickyD Posted August 22, 2011 Author Posted August 22, 2011 They're in the brasserie in the hotel this year, and its ?115pp I presume fanzone is on then. Pissed me off last couple of years when they get preferential treatment over home fans! Yes, yes, I know how much revenue they make from the corporate whores but I ain't arsed about that. Let them fill the end at over inflated prices. Let them have their tea and biccies or whatever in the hotel. But don't let them take over the fanzone! (Not that I go in much but I did used to and stopped because of the loss of Fanzone to the DMBs.
DC08WFC Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 United have had their allocation at Anfield reduced to around 1800 (from 3000) for the reasons mentioned. 2711 at the Reebok, to be exact.
wayne cramp Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 am guessin stoke will have a reduced allocation then.
Adlington Trotter Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Was the reason the fanzone wasn't open for the past couple of seasons against that red lot really because we were catering for their filthy following? Heard someone mention it once but thought they were taking the piss. If it earns the club more money I really shouldn't be surprised they did that. But what a sad state of affairs if true.
desperado Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 It was announced on Sun In fan zone that it Will be closed as per usual against urinals next open for norwich game
frank_spencer Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 It was announced on Sun In fan zone that it Will be closed as per usual against urinals next open for norwich game Must be booked for private do then, as my mate is red filth and the away corporate tickets are in the hotel then seats in the upper tier. I'm shocked the club are still allowing this to happen, even for the negative PR it generates alone.
Zico Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 am guessin stoke will have a reduced allocation then. just don't give em the last block in each corner
