worthy10 Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 The moto of the brilliant London Olympics is becoming reality. My 14yr old lad had started going to gym and just got a bike! Rio here we come Quote
Guest Frandsen08 Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 hes riding to Rio? Fair play to him, but he'll be knackered. Quote
no balls Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 We still have a number of those banners up near me with one carrying the motto. I did look up at it this weekend and thought, nice. Quote
Marc505 Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Thought Id have a crack at running round the track at the gym rather than using the crosstrainer all the time yesterday, must have been inspired by what Ive seen in the Olympics. Did 15 laps, calf ceased up, been limping pathetically ever since! Quote
DazBob Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Brilliant. There's gonna be even more fucking cyclists weaving in and out of traffic, mounting the kerbs, jumping red lights, etc. Quote
Northender Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Inspire a generation, just nipped up to local Equestrian centre and asked for a go on their horse. Got told to get off their land! Quote
Biggish Dave Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 I'm too old to start any sport unless darts becomes an olympic sport - and i'm better at watching it than playing it. Back to the cider and pork pies for me Quote

Ashey Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Cant seem to drag myself away from horwich leisure centre at the moment, the 100m freestyle will be mine in Rio, just fancy a free holiday if i'm honest. The Olympic village out in Rio will be belting Quote

Did 15 laps, calf ceased up, been limping pathetically ever since! Are you Ivan Drago? Are there punchballs placed at strategic locations on this track? 'Kin ell, which gym has a running track? Let me take a wild stab in the dark - David Lloyd? (Although I do recall someone saying something about the roof of Total Fitness). On a slightly related note, did anyone else cancel their membership of Typhoid Mary's at Burnden (a.k.a. DW Sports) after their decline into general scumminess and facilitation of the spread of communicable ailments? Quote

Youri McAnespie Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 I thought it might be Total Fitness, but had a look on GoogleMaps and didn't see anything, apart from a roof Quote

Didledee Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Nothing really, but my younger sister had a small union jack, so I've stuck that on the goal in my free kick zone in my back garden. Quote
