DazBob Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 (edited) I know what you mean, but her ranking positions in UK in the separate disciplines this year are: 100mH - 1; HJ - 1; 200m - 2; LJ - 5; SP - 8; JT - 44; 800m - 53. In world terms, she dominated the heptathlon this year but was not in the top 25 in any individual discipline. I agree with Malc. Yep, she's the best at what she does as a whole event, but not the best at any of them individually. How strong is the competition in a Heptathlon? I'd say the likes of Murray, Wiggins, McIlroy face far tougher competition. I'm not trying to say what she's done isn't anything short of brilliant, I just think others have done brilianterer. If she piped me off though I might vote for her. Edited November 27, 2012 by DazBobParr Quote

Ani Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 (edited) Ennis for me. Did I mention I was there for her gold ? Think wiggins will win it. Murray then ennis or Farah. Can not remember there ever being so many people deserving it. There is a chance that Olympic vote gets split so Murray and mcilroy might do ok but the Tour de France should do it for wiggins Interesting who gets what when the medals come out Wiggins does look like a cunt though. He looks like zico Kelly. Edited November 28, 2012 by Ani Quote
freds dad Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Wiggins will probably win it dues to winning the Tour and the Olympics. There was a cracking programme on Sky last night about him and he came across as a down to earth bloke. He was asked what he was going to do when he got home after winning the tour and he said he had to take his lad to rugby practice because he hadn't take him for a few weeks. The sort of bloke you could go to the pub with. Quote
