ex_midlandwhite Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 It kicked off straight after the game tonight. I think it was Tamils throwing stuff at the police but we piled on through to the station. Funny for someone my age as you tend to see as much rough stuff at the cricket as you do the footy these days! Quote
MickyD Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Anyone play for westhoughton seconds on here? I attended a game at Bradshaw on Sunday and the rather large wicket keeper (and Lancs coach) who goes by the name JP, asked the 14 year old bowler to remove a bit of cloth from his pocket as it was putting him off. Bowler duly removed the cloth and then bowled this JP two balls later with the words, "You're right, removing the cloth really helped!" JP nearly hit him with his bat the fucking soft cunt! Quote
fester58 Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 (edited) heard all about the incident at bradshaw its not big and clever what jp did and he apologized afterwards, it was the heat of the battle. I also heard the 14 yo didn't backdown neither, let us know next down your down the rigbys micky Edited June 18, 2013 by fester58 Quote
MickyD Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 14v year old made JP look a prick and a bully. Was rather funny though. I'm down the rigbys more for seconds than firsts because my nephew plays. Quote
fester58 Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Scooby doo of here runs the 2nds. there a decent side saying there playing with a lot of u15's /u18's. Quote
seasoned Traveller Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Good lad JP. Heat of battle, we all have our mad moments. Bradshaw Queers. Quote
MickyD Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 JP was a cock who tried a bit of gamesmanship against a kid. He might well be a good bloke normally; on Sunday he was a cock. Quote

zurichwhite Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Pleasant evening at OT where Lancs cruised to victory. Prince denied his century when on 98 then 5 extras. Pity it was a modest crowd, think they're pricing folk out for this kind of fayre. Cheeky 7 pints helped Quote
seasoned Traveller Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 If your playing big boys cricket, the your fair game. Quote
fester58 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 If your playing big boys cricket, the your fair game. the lad has only just turned 14, if the 14 year old has started it then fair play, if not then he's made himself look a complete bellend. Quote
Carlos Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Who's been bowled by a 13 year old, essentially. Quote
MickyD Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Got to admit, i'm also surprised at Seasoned Traveller for seemingly justifying a very experienced amateur cricketer acting like a complete twat. Not to mention highly respected coach. Quote
MickyD Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 If your playing big boys cricket, the your fair game. and by the way, this attitude could well be at odds with child protection policies written into every club's constitution.Maybe you're a former cricketer who lost his place to a teenager. Quote

Maybe you're a former cricketer who lost his place to a teenager. Surely they shouldn't be playing with the adults then? If you are asking for different treatment. Quote
