Carlos Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Why? That smarmy prick needs to know he's not wanted In your opinion. And you don't really go the games anyway. What makes you think anyone give a fuck what you think? Quote

Carlos Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Indeed. Why do you seem to think yours is the most important, rather than just an opinion. Which is all it is. Quote
Big E Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Opinions vary What happens in your head is mental! How you can be so angry about someone who hasn't done that badly and doesn't really affect you is beyond me. Go back to coming to strippers n getting cained. You were better then Quote
Ghana White Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I've read the stuff on twitter. Depressing, apparently he's the one constant in all our failings.. seems to forget he played a pretty big part in all the good times as well Quote
Carlos Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 In fairness, most of the folk on Twitter are children. Gartside is all they've known. Warbies is something their mum buys. The depth of some of their financial understanding extends to getting spending money and blowing it all on Haribo and Lucozade. Quote

jonnycooper Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 And who shall we get to replace.??? Quote
MalcolmW Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 (edited) And who shall we get to replace.??? Exactly. In the unlikely event that PG decides to retire, the VC will surely take the job on. He is the mon on the FA nowadays (admittedly representing Lancs FA). But in bakery terms he is somewhat sidelined by others with no interest in football. So positively no advantage to the club. PG gave up an MD post in order to become full-time at BWFC, which at least ended his globetrotting. I'd much rather he saw the next 10 years through. Edited September 24, 2013 by MalcolmW Quote

Guest Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 And who shall we get to replace.??? Eddie can run the club. It might be that an intermediary is getting in the way. Quote
Sweep Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Eddie can run the club. It might be that an intermediary is getting in the way. Why would he want to run the football club? - He's retired isn't he? - and he's probably got better things to do anyway than be involved in the day in and day out running of Bolton Wanderers. If it was something he had an interest in doing, I'm sure he would have been doing it before now rather than paying somebody else to do it. Also, perhaps Eddie thinks that Gartside is doing an OK job Quote

Carlos Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 If Phil decided to retire, it would make absolutely fucking zero difference to anything. We'd still need someone in his position. And they may well be even more clueless. On one hand, people clearly care about the club (and I've sang Warbies Out and Sack the Board more times that I'd care to remember). However, it would be more productive to simply get behind the team. Currently we are making ourselves look like Blackburn last season. Every fucker was laughing at them. If you haven't got the bollocks to handle a struggle and some hard times then supporting Bolton Wanderers isn't for you. Quote

Youri McAnespie Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Like Carlos so eloquently writes - The reasonable, the seen worse before, the 'bigger-picture' folk etc. we're being lost amid this sea of Twitter twats, Facebook fuckwits and sundry nobheads (and nobheadesses)... It makes us look moronic, it brings shame on us as supporters as a whole, it's 100x more embarrassing than the non-performance of the team of late. There's been rightful and constructive (and some not-so, but rightful nonetheless) criticism of Gartside on here in the past; Megson's 'people in football' appoinment, his 'fans avoid these areas' comments during the Euro jolly, Vilegate etc. but, when you read/witness/hear of some of the 'outraged in Little Lever' type's antics - you can't help but wonder how much of his (PG) seemingly contemptuous attitude towards us, the support, at times is spawned by this?
