Regarding the legend that is Enzo Gambaro, I actually went down to watch the stiffs when he was having his trial match, a player on trial from AC Milan I thought we really had arrived! I think Nottingham Forest had paid (then) serious money for Andrea SIlenzi around that time an' all - both these players proved that every Italian wasn't necessarily a Vialli, Ravanelli, Maldini or Zola, or even a Youthful Youri McAnespie!

 

I think it was Emmanual Morini who had all the cloak and dagger false name business surrounding his acquisition as well, not Vaz Te (though I might be wrong).
