DazBob Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Asked the bird if she wanted to go out for a meal. She said no. Asked her if she wanted me to get some nice scran in, she said yes. I then asked if she'd rather we just go to the pub and get pissed instead. It was a resounding yes. So, a card, a teddy and a few vodka and diet cokes it is for the lucky lady. Quote
Big City Girl Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 What you romantics going for then this Friday? Gastropub Camembert with Chutney Gastropub Chunky Chips Rump Steak with Peppercorn Sauce 2 Millionaires Shortbread Romeral Crianza (Red Rioja) Plus the chocolates! (You can tell I'm bored!) I went to my friends last night for tea, she showed me her £20 deal from M & S - the same but with Crab Gratin for starters and pink fizz. It really is a good deal, I might participate myself. We never go out on Valentine's Day as you get rushed and they charge over the odds. We're having an afternoon sesh on Saturday in Manc instead. Much more up my street. Quote
DazBob Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 A teddy? As in a stuffed toy? No, a man with a quiff and a silly jacket. TBH, I've no idea what I'll be buying her. It'll be whatever's in the card shop that's between the cards and the till. Quote

Kane57 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Nowhere. Tend to go out the week after so it's cheaper (her idea, I'm fine with it) so we're sending our daughter to her nans and heading out for a curry Quote
Spider Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I've told her she can have a card but only if she puts in writing that I get my balls sucked before midnight. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 She's told me we're having a chippy tea, and if I get her any sort of gift then she's chopping my bollocks off. Winner. Quote
Pablo Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Nowt. Hate the forced feeling of it all. Quote

Smiley Posted February 13, 2014 Author Posted February 13, 2014 Not for me, but if I did, it wouldn't be steak and chips. You aren't alone. Sent message to the little lady - she replied she'd have preferred the duck. Quote
Traf Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Don't get me wrong, it'll be decent enough quality, but steak and chips is a "normal" meal. You should have tried something more unusual. Quote
