Casino Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Funny how people think the booing element would respect a players age. Kid makes a mistake but nothing said because he is 19 ? Christ the fact they are Bolton born bred hardly helped Julian Darby did it ? I think people are assuming irrational people will behave rationally. i actually think some of our young uns would get a little slack from what i heard white was nothing special at qpr but was given a bit of leeway i think eaves would be a different kettle of fish as he's always going to be the bloke who forced kevin davies out Quote

They aren't good enough, if they were they would be in. Doesn't seem overally complicated. Quote

jules_darby Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 i think eaves would be a different kettle of fish as he's always going to be the bloke who forced kevin davies outSee I've never heard anyone so much as utter that, never mind it influence their booing rationale Keep making up scenarios that haven't happened like you do with Dougie though Quote

Doesn't seem overally complicated. It didn't help that Ream's injury was in th first minute, effectively making White's debut a full game. But the primary purpose of benchers is as cover for injuries. (Except impact subs, of course.) Quote
Casino Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 tome eaves was talked up by freedman as the man who could replace davies at the back end of last year thats how he'll be judged well, he won't cos hes really not very good Quote
Casino Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Think that was dougie aye and good for him Quote

I felt the person next to him should be more at fault for not talking to him. Quote

I think he could do job, I'd rather have him in than Mason Quote
Traf Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Think that was dougie Indeed, sacked him on his birthday and Kevin's not at all bitter about it. Cunt was banging on about it again this morning on TalkShite apparently Quote
BOWTUN BAKED Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 He was. Embarrassing how he was bumbling his words out too. Cock. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 He was. Embarrassing how he was bumbling his words out too. Cock. Bit harsh for what he did for BWFC he's was a great pro and played a massive part in a great period in our history. Quote

Traf Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 As someone pointed out today. Ill remember Gardner a lot more fondly Likewise. Ricardo went gracefully and has nothing but good things to say about the club. Davies got a year longer than he deserved and yet him and that arse of a wife of his can't wait to criticise the club at every turn. Fuck off Davies. Quote

davidjack Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 (edited) Gardner went gracefully because he was treated decently and was shown the respect that was due to him after 14 years and several career threatening injuries. SKD (the S will always be in there for me, and I would hope the vast majority of fans) was treated with a complete lack of respect by the fuckwits in charge of our great club (namely Gartside and Freedman). So he may have sounded a little bitter on some radio programme. So fucking what? He'd every right to feel bitter. Not at being released - it was painfully obvious his legs were going - but at being given no notice before the end of a window, then frozen out by the stubborn cunt who's taking us down...even when we needed something to shake it up in the last few games of last season. He's never slagged the club he's grown to love off. And he's put a lot more in than he's taken out - something which can't be said for DF or PG and his cronies on the board this past few years. Wake up for fuck's sake! Edited February 20, 2014 by davidjack Quote
barryk32 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Has anyone seen the video yet? The kids are tenacious in closing the opposition down. Every one of them is trying to win the ball back as quickly as they can and its forcing the opposition into mistakes which are punished. Why the fuck do the first team play a polar opposite system? Quote
Traf Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 He has slagged the club off. He wasn't released without warning either. He even admitted he'd been talking to interested parties well before the official announcement. He was good for us, but the club were good for him too. Quote
davidjack Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 All players coming to the end of their deals talk to other clubs when they know they're not getting another one where they are. Freedman acted the prick to make himself look like the man in charge, when all the evidence since then shows he's not in charge of his own fucking marbles. I've stuck by him until the last few weeks, thinking and hoping some plan would emerge, but he really is the naked emperor. And how anyone can slag SKD off rather than direct their anger at the idiots 'in charge' and ruining our club week by week is beyond me. Quote

As traf mentioned he was given a new deal too many for just being SKD! No issue with that. I'm not sure where you have been if you don't feel he's slagged the club at every possible opportunity. The 'they released me on my birthday' story springs to mind. He's quite entitled to stick to his wife's opinion, as am I with mine. Is this just another stick to beat up Freedman with. If so its not a very good one. Quote

Why the fuck do the first team play a polar opposite system? i'm sure its not because we want to keep getting beat its about having the players to do it, i'd guess and the players buying into it i'm not having it that we have 3 teams all being run independently of the other Quote
Zico Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 i actually think some of our young uns would get a little slack aye, iirc, most were entusiastic about joe riley, admittedly he's rarely played, and he was fortunate enough to play the 5-0 v stoke but still was the same with vela i don't think they'd get half the abuse some seem to think they will Quote
MalcolmW Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Part of the problem is that it is unwise to bring inexperienced players in while a threat of relegation remains. For the last match, if we are safe Birmingham may not be. If Birmingham then win by the only goal (or even 5-4) and escape there will be mutterings and maybe much more. Now consider the trip to Wednesday. Theoretically they are now favourites to reach the FA Cup semis, and if they then meet Brighton they can reach the final. But if they do so then their home match to Blackburn will be in the last midweek so if they are relegation contenders (which the cup run may not help) then the Bolton match will be their 44th league match. So the impact of a weakened team will not be so clearcut. Furthermore this is only 4 days after our Leicester home match, so claims of injuries to regulars are feasible. It seems to me that there is a strong chance that the Leicester match will be on Sky, as ITV will have a Champions' League semi-final on that evening. Leicester may well be in position to claim promotion, or the title. The alternative option is Reading v Middlesbrough, as all the other matches are on Easter Monday. Quote
