Is that a similar approach to Megson?

 

One thing I liked under Freedman was he seemed to have a network of scouts and also used stats based approach. The stats man seemed very well respected in the industry but left last month.

Think that Jim Melrose played for Partick Thistle against us in the Anglo Scottish Cup ca. 1976. After the game Ian Greaves put in a bid for their centre half who looked useful. Partick wanted a couple of grand more which the Board wouldn't pay. He was called Alan Hansen BTW.
