Breightmet Boy Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 In his defence he's got rid of the big earning disruptive players and brought in ones the club can afford, not who he'd necessarily ones he'd want as first options. Now he's been after a couple from Crewe and the lad from Liverpool on loan, if we can't get them in we're either really really on our arse and struggling to meet the FFP rules or the board ain't sanctioning any deals whilst he's in the hot seat. I get the sneaky feeling he's gonna be gone inside the next two months and someone's gonna get a kitty to play with, as a owner your not gonna give transfer money to a poor tactician. That's my view of things, and not a fact to be seen Quote

glossopWANDERER Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Miserable gits? Miserablebloodygits? Let me tell you about miserable gits sunshine! I eat, drink & breath BWFC, I missed 7 games last season & spent an estimated 5k last year being a miserable git! I support my team through thick & bloody thin & just because we're going through the thin, do you think it'll stop me going? NO! But do you think it should stop me moaning on a internet forum if I'm not happy? I've gave the lad my support, I've gave him the opportunity to prove the doubters wrong, I've gavepowers that be the right to make their considered opinion a chance. The Custodians of our club, the representatives of our town, have made decisions on all our behaves to do the right thing for us all & our history. They're failing, they're failing badly at the moment, some would say they've been failing for years. Now ask yourself a question? Any of these decision makers in the poor house? Any of these owners, chairmen, managers, even players! In the poorhouse for their incompetence?? No! Fookin' No! Fookin' bastarding shitting Arsing......... NO! It's all the shitty tossing arsehole fans fault for wishing to hope or dream that the identity they've set in themselves as town folk, proud Boltonians, Fans or supporters, a label they've gave themselves to identify themselves as people, at work, on holiday, around the world, in the pub or where ever....... What does it mean to you? If you think We're miserable buggers, it clearly doesn't mean enough to you.... You sanctimonious shit. To me football is a form of entertainment in the same way going to the cinema, theatre or watching tv is. If watching any form of entertainment began to make me as miserable as some folk apear to be I would save my penny's and go elsewhere. I too have had seasons were I have spent plenty of money on football but I was enjoying it. If I was physically able to attend every week now I would no doubt go to the odd game which I would question why I had bothered but I would never get to the point that it was having such a negative effect on my life. If it was I'd have packed in a long time ago. As for home games,It's more like going to church. You go because you have to keep the faith. Because you lose the faith, you've lost everything. I go because my dad goes,my dad goes because Pete goes,Pete goes because I go....we have to keep going because once one us packs it in. It's game over. Away games are just a piss up. Quote

JSL This sums up the pathetic attitude of some supporters when it comes to asking questions of the way our club is run. Its not entertainment, its a way of life to me and one i have had now for over 40yrs. Entertainment = Soap operas on a miserable tuesday night (allegedly of course) BWFC = My religion. Quote

JSL What a load of tripe!! You choose which film to go and watch at the cinema, show at the theatre or to watch on TV, usually there is something there to suggest it appeals to you entertainment wise. I didn't choose to support Bolton in pursuit of entertainment, fuck me I'd be changing every five minutes to whoever has the most expensive foreigners at the top of the premiership if that was the case! Bolton's my hometown, I go and support them with mates I have known all my life and family as well, we are in it together and are loyal through the mostly bad times in all honesty. But to compare it with a trip to the cinema.?? Yeh last time I saw a shit film I was so pissed off, couldn't eat my tea, bad mood until the next one came along, gutted. Supported that Clint EastWood all my life, how could he put in a performance like that?Ha ha bollocks. Quote
radcliffe white Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Some good posts this morning and it hurts me when lads drop off from games, not because of work or money but because of the way it's going at the club it's sad. Quote
Breightmet Boy Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Anyone with half a brain could spot the shit what coyle signed and get rid I agree, the problem was nobody wanted them and we was lumbered so no funds were available. It's had it pretty rough, but that does not excuse the stupid tactics I know Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I have to agree withBowton bakes assessment about custodians of the club have badly let us down I will add to that the reason being is a lack of leadership and direction and an inability to engage and get fans on side with whatever their plan is (if there is one) As it stands I'm not arsed about watching them again this season even though I'm a season ticket holder, there are many others already voted out and I've criticized folk but can now understand why. gonzo Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I'd like to see our wage bill and expenditure during douglas's stay and how it compares to other teams in the league. Quote

Arrested development Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Surely it's not too much to ask that a goalkeeper be able to save a shot that is straight at him? Apparantly it is. Terrible keeping from Lonergan on that 2nd goal. We need to find a way to stop conceding 2 goals per game or were in for a very unhappy season. Quote
Rembrandt Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Add me to the Bowtun agreement group. Those things badly need saying and loudly. How could the people owning/running the club have allowed us to pile up such massive debt if they have the club's best interests at heart - like all us fans do, and prove it by putting our money in year after year, not taking money out. How can the people owning/running the club allow it to stagger along, downwards, as it has done for the last 3 years. There are clear lessons from the club's past that are being ignored. As for "football is a form of entertainment in the same way going to the cinema, theatre or watching tv" is concenrend, that's just a piss-poor phishing trip. Though glossop is right in one way - if the football on view upsets people so much, then show that by staying away. No point keeping the attendances figures up when the club is being so badly mis-managed from the top. Quote
Carlos Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Had the Miss fortune of sitting in front of what could have easily been one of any of the miserable gits off here. We had to move, sat in front of some utter prick shouting instructions to the team. Sad twat had a shirt and pants on and disappeared on 80 minutes, possibly a coach driver? I'd fucking love to scream instructions at him for 6 hours. That angry bloke screaming Freedman out on his own needs sack it off before he has an aneurysm. Quote

JSL If we are one nil up after 80 minutes you could stop the game give us the points and I would happy. If I was watching a film and it finished 10 mins from the end I would be pissed off. The comparison between going the pictures and supporting a football team is nonsense. Supporting a team is part oh who you are, watching a film is something that you do. Quote

Was Baptiste one of the 'big earning disruptive players' then? There are plenty of clubs in this league who've spent less than us over the last couple of seasons. I doubt they've got all the players they wanted either. Quote

jules_darby Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Just watched the highlights on YouTube Lonergan looked rusty Mills, that's 2 mistakes that have cost us the decisive goal in 2 games. Very worrying Oddly Chungy and Wheater had very, very good chances that you'd expect both to do better with. Fine margins yadda yadda Quote
Garrp Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I found it odd that we had Chungy and Feeney both on the left towards the end of the game. Quote
