We won, it was madcap entertainment for half an hour but nothing to get carried away about.

 

C Davies was excellent, two of the goals and pretty much every other chance we had came as a result of his spadework. Only served to show how mind bogglingly stupid DF's decision to leave him out and play Mason on his own on Saturday really was. Once Mason worked out 2nd half that if he got in and around Davies he'd get chances he looked a good 'un.

 

Defensively we were a shambles again at times, could have been 5-5, good job they were as bad as 2nd half wore on. Introduction of Feeney and Chungy at that time of the game worked as they struggled once the pitch got bigger.

for all the stick bogdan gets for not coming off his line, this fella takes it to new levels

 

but, hes a second choice keeper at a team in division 2, so i dont expect much - bit like folk getting on reams back get told to fcuk right off

 

it just bears mentioning tho as one of the biggest critics of all things bwfc couldnt wait to keep telling us how bogdan is shit and lonergan should be playing

 

 

 

btw, all things considered, support was pretty good tonight - didnt think the half time boos were warranted but understand folk wanting to blow off some steam

Was decent enough game for us first 20 then it all went a bit shit till chungy and feeney came on

 

Opened the game up nicely and whilst it were twitchy arse time with their disallowed goals it was as entertaining as it has been for quite some time

 

Highlight was chungys through ball for, I think, one of masons missed chances

 

Who knows what will happen next or who will play but won't worry bout that till the weekend

The 4-4-2 diamond formation that we started with was a poor choice. Exposed the full backs way too much.

 

Once Douglas brought the wide men on the pinned back their full backs and turned the tables so our full backs could also bomb on and join the attacks.

 

Moxey was wank first half but once the changes were made and he wasnt under so much pressure he played a lot better.

 

We need to kick on from this too or its pointless.

Glad to be out of bottom three, but depressed at thought of being stuck with this lunatic a second longer. Most of first half summed him up. A bunch of strangers with no shape, no goal threat and not much of anything really. Against Rotherham United at home. But then when you change your midfield and attack every single game what kind of understanding are you expecting between players?

 

Once we had some width (and wingers on the right side of the pitch this time) we looked a different proposition. Still far too many balls given away, especially from our captain. And piss poor defending at times.

 

Great to see a hat-trick (I missed Bobic's and can't remember the one before that - Super? Christ that's a long time to wait), but one ragged, albeit exciting win against relegation candidates a good manager does not make.

First half was awful. Second half dead enjoyable.

Really happy with the way we managed to grind a win out tonight. My biggest annoyance all match was Lonergan's positioning for their free kick. What's the fucking point of sticking your wall on one side of the goal if you're gonna stand behind it? I'm right behind the goal and said all along where their player was going to put it. Basic goalkeeping, it really is.

 

Anyway, several positives and Mason's header was sublime. His miss in injury time was embarrassing but I'll let him off. Onwards and upwards.
